π₯ Please see this fantastic opportunity from Scottish Golf and the Camanachd Association β³οΈ
We're inviting young people from the year of births 2012-2016 to experience two fantastic sports this summer β golf and shinty. Whether they're completely new to both sports or have played before, this is a brilliant opportunity to learn new skills, have fun and make new friends.
Inspired by golfers such as Bob MacIntyre, who grew up playing both golf and shinty, Scottish Golf and the Camanachd Association are delighted to be working in partnership, with support from sportscotland, to deliver free summer camps.
Camp Details
Thursday 13th August, 10:00-15:00.
Friday 14th August, 10:00-15:00.
Programme
1. 10:0am-12noon:. Shinty coaching and games at Fraser's Field, An Aird.
2. 12:00pm β 13:00pm: Lunch at Fort William Shinty Club Clubhouse, An Aird

No previous experience is needed. Our qualified coaches will provide a fun, welcoming environment where everyone can have a go, regardless of ability.
All golf and shinty equipment can be provided, although we encourage participants to bring along their own shinty equipment if they have it.
Cost: Thanks to funding through the sportscotland Summer of Sport 2026 project, the camp is completely free of charge.
