There's a noise you start making somewhere in adulthood.
Nobody teaches it to you.
You bend down to pick something up. "Ooooft."
You get out of a low chair. "Urrrgh."
You drop something on the floor and wonder if you even need it anymore.
At some point, getting your shoes on becomes a minor sporting event.
We laugh about getting older, and some of it is funny.
But the stiff knees, the sore back, the "I can't do the things I used to"- none of that has to be the end of the road.
You don't need to become a gym person.
No Lycra. No protein shakes. No watch cheering you on for standing up. (I have one of those.)
You just need to keep using the body you've got.
That's what we do at Carrick Activity Centre in Dailly.
No transformation required. No pressure. Just move a bit more, feel a bit better, and have a laugh doing it.
Come in and see us this week. Your knees will thank you. Probably with a noise.
And if you made a noise while getting up after reading this, we heard you. 😂
