HELP US TELL THE STORIES THAT SHAPED OUR COMMUNITY

East End Flat Pack Meals is launching a community arts and heritage project celebrating the women whose activism, leadership, and dedication have helped shape Easterhouse and Greater Easterhouse.

We are looking for:

📸 Women who have made a difference in our communities
📖 Stories of local activism and community action
🖼️ Photographs, memories, newspaper clippings, and community history
🎤 Community organisations to nominate volunteers, workers, board members, and local champions

We are particularly keen to hear from the older generation who can help us capture the stories that might otherwise be lost.

❓Do you remember community projects, campaigns, groups, or local initiatives from years gone by?

❓Did you or someone you know have links to community activity on Dunphail Street during the 1960s or 1970s?

❓Do you know anything about a women's football team, local women's groups, or community-led projects from that period?

We want to hear from you.

Together we will create a community memory wall, oral history archive, photography exhibition, and live performance celebrating the women who helped build our community.

Lovely morning at East End Flat Pack Meals 💛

We put together a continental breakfast spread today with pastries, pancakes, yoghurt, fresh fruit and plenty of other goodies 🍓🥐

It was all for a great workshop with Glasgow Community Energy, and there was such a good buzz in the room—lots of positive conversations around funding and how we can best serve our communities moving forward.

Breakfast was provided by our team, and it was great to see everyone enjoying it while getting stuck into meaningful discussions.

Just a reminder that we can cater for both small and larger events here at Flat Pack Meals—whether it’s meetings, workshops or community gatherings, we’ve got you covered 🙌

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Gerry Baldwin, CEO of Fuse and Pavilion.

Gerry was a passionate leader and a dedicated advocate for the East End of Glasgow. Our team is incredibly thankful for his support and contributions to our journey over the years — his impact will continue to be felt throughout our community.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Gerry’s family, friends, and all the staff teams at Pavilion and Fuse during this difficult time.

The Castlemilk Pantry is looking for a FREE-LANCE COMMUNITY CHEF to join our team.

As Community Chef you will use food as a vehicle to engage with our members and the wider community to deliver 6-week cookery classes, along with supporting our volunteers in the delivery of our regular community lunch.

You should have a wide knowledge and experience within catering including provision of health & nutritious food and the delivery of food related programmes and activities.

We are looking for an individual who is positive, resilient with a desire to bring about change.

What a fantastic summer thats been had over the summer with our team 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thanks to our funders The National Lottery Community Fund that have made the communities outdoor dreams possible 🤗

We've successfully run a great summer program and with some outdoor sessions to still come in autumn as well with families across the East End and south of Glasgow 🙏🏼

Unfortunately we got locked out of our Facebook account so haven't been able to upload anything, but we managed to get it sorted woop ✨

✨ HOLISTIC OUTDOOR EDUCATION PROGRAM ✨

We are excited to announce we will be running an outdoor education program with thanks to our funders at The National Lottery Community Fund 🥰

This will include sessions covering
Outdoor Cooking
Cold Water Therapy
Bushcraft
Guided Walks
Den Building
Fun Activities for all
Flat Pack Meal bags to take home

We will be running family sessions and sessions for adults as well 🤍
