Training starts Wednesday 29th July 6-7pm at Matson Rfc.

As girls’ rugby continues to grow across the country, we’re proud to be launching our Matson RFC Girls Development Squad for girls aged 8-10. (From Year 3 onwards)

This is all about inspiring the next generation of female rugby players in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment.

Whether your daughter is already part of the Matson family or has never picked up a rugby ball before, we’d love to welcome her along. No experience is needed – just come and give it a try!

🏉 Matson RFC Mini & Youth Rugby Pre-Season Training 🏉

Pre-season training starts Sunday 26th July at 10:00am at Matson RFC, Redwell Road.

We welcome all players from U6s to U15s, whether you're returning for another season or looking to give rugby a try for the first time.

Come along for fun, fitness, new friendships, and to develop your rugby skills in a safe and inclusive environment.

New players are always welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed coach to join our rugby team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help young players develop their rugby skills, build confidence, and most importantly, enjoy the game in a fun and supportive environment.

Previous coaching experience is welcome but not essential. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a passion for helping children learn and grow through sport. Coaching qualifications and safeguarding training can be supported by the club.

If you would like to make a difference in the development of our young players and be part of a great rugby community, we’d love to hear from you.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our U12 Matson RFC youth team achieved the fantastic accolade of winning the Tiger Challenge Championship last weekend!

The team, along with U8-U11 sides, traveled to Butlins Minehead to compete against teams from all across the country, with over 30 teams competing in each age group at various venues around the town.

An unbelievable achievement from a group of lads who showed heart, determination and togetherness from start to finish, beating some of the best teams from England, Wales and Ireland along the way. 🌍💪

From the huddle on the pitch to lifting the trophy under the lights… moments like these are what grassroots rugby is all about. The hard work from the coaches, parents and players is paying off in style.

The future’s looking very bright for this team. Up the black & whites! 🖤🤍🐯

This weekend Matson minis and juniors have travelled over to butlins Minehead for the the tigers challenge and rugby tour.
