Amazing Challenge!!
made up of SUP Gloucester's former guide Matt Phillips, Caz Dawson of SUP Lass Paddle Adventures and Jonathan Gill are taking on one of South America’s toughest adventure challenges, a 334km stand up paddle board descent of the mighty Amazon river over 6 days in June 2024.
During the trip they expect to encounter strong currents, multiple grade 3 rapids, 100% humidity, illegal deforestation activities and endangered wildlife.
Why are they doing this?
To raise much needed funds for the Peruvian rainforest. During the Expedition we will work with local indigenous communities to help promote ecotourism, and eco conservation to try and prevent the deforestation and legal mining of the rainforest.

We had an incredible time on the water with our group after their night out before, our games on the water while cruising down the River Severn seemed like the perfect way to spend their day. Especially with some great pub food after they got off the water at our Lower Lodes Inn location.
