Disturbed sleep is one of the most common symptoms for perimenopausal women and it has a knock-on effect throughout our lives affecting our energy, emotional wellbeing and relationships. Perimenopausal women, especially those who are overweight, have a great chance of waking up in the night with a headache which impacts upon quality of sleep. Here's some top tips:
π Keep a regular sleep routine going to bed & getting up at the same time everyday
π Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks before bed as theyβre natural stimulants
π Exercise regularly as it will really promote better quality sleep
π Avoid blue light before bed (TV, tablets and phones)
