We are looking for a level 2 swimming teacher and a level 1 teaching assistant to join our friendly team on Saturday mornings, 8:35am - 11:50am, term time only.

Just a reminder we are swimming tonight (Friday 12 September) but there is no swimming tomorrow 13 September due to Sir Thomas Rich’s school running it’s grammar school tests and the school being closed to private hire.

We have a few beginners spaces for September for children aged 4 upwards.

CLOSURE

We have been informed this evening that unauthorised persons have entered the site, due to this the school has gone into lockdown.

Unfortunately Swimming cannot go ahead tomorrow.

We will return on Friday 6th / Saturday 7 June.

We are starting the summer term on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 May. The term will run to Friday 11 and Saturday 12 July with a week break on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 May. This is a total of 10 weeks.

Our sessions are for 30 minutes at a cost of £7.40 per session.

The beginners group is run by a level 2 teacher in the water with a level 1 assistant and at least 1 helper. We have a maximum of 9 children in the water therefore a 3/1 ratio.

Our beginners group are taught with swimming noodles (not arm bands) and we progress the children from being non swimmers to swimming independently on their front and back and teach them to being confident in putting their faces in the water.

We have some beginner sessions available on a Friday and Saturday. If you are interested in coming for a free trial please email [email protected]

**POOL CLOSURE**

Unfortunately we have arrived at the pool and there is issue with the heating system and both the water and air are cold.

Due to this we have made the decision with the school to close the swimming sessions for this weekend.

We have a few spaces for beginners (age 4 Upwards) on Fridays only, starting 28 February or 7 March.

We are still awaiting an update as to whether swimming will go ahead on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 January 2025.
