Day two of ‘res’ was just as fantastic as day one! So many barriers pushed, so much confidence gained, so many smiles and so much laughter ❤️ Our three wonderful instructors- Ellie, Tanya and Alastair absolutely got the best out of their groups and everyone not only had fun but they learned lots too. What more can you ask?! Yet again it was all hands on deck to help and support each other, with our older members being fabulous mentors and support for our younger members and those who’d never attended a residential camp before. We are the luckiest branch to have such fabulous young people- thank you all for your hard work, encouragement and inclusivity throughout the camp. 🥰 Every single member earned their rosettes and badges through their hard work and fabulous attitude, well done to you all! 👏

We owe our wonderful committee member Sarah Armstrong the biggest of thanks for organising such a fun, relaxed, and incredibly enjoyable res. The number of conversations I had with people who want another one soon shows how much fun they had with this form of camp- so enjoy a rest while you can Sarah! 😜 Huge thanks also to all of the parents who came, camped, and supported every single young person- their young person or not! A very special team❤️❤️

Day one of residential camp at Rectory Farm is done! A wonderful day full of showjumping, flatwork, poles and grid and fantastic hacking❤️. Everyone has worked so hard and done themselves proud in their sessions. What has been wonderful to see is fantastic teamwork, support, and encouragement of each and every member- true BSPC values in action 👏 Away from the ridden activities there has been some truly memorable action- ‘chase me Charlie’ on foot saw some hilarious wins, followed by limbo which was the revenge of the small people and then seriously bendy action in the cardboard box game! 🤣 Happy ponies, happy children- bring on day two! ❤️

SUMMER CAMP – LEYLAND COURT 22 -24 August

We’re still planning a fantastic camp despite the hard ground. We’ll be making full use of the indoor arena, alongside the show jumping and dressage arenas, so there’ll still be lots of fun riding for everyone.

To help us finalise the timetable and instructors, please book on and pay your deposit. We may not be able to accept late bookings unless spaces become available.

A huge well done to all of our members who competed at the Almondsbury Show on Sunday. It was truly wonderful to see so many of you taking part in the gymkhana, showjumping, showing and dressage! You did us all proud, and clearly had so much fun! A massive thank you to Lisa and Sarah B for being so involved in the committee planning such a wonderful event, and to our BSPC parents who helped us to deliver so much fun for our members! Well done everyone- BSPC spirit on show throughout! ❤️❤️ Massive thanks to our dressage and showing judges, and to Leann for sponsoring the lovely championship sashes ❤️

A wonderful time was had by our members today at the flat work and grid clinic with Bryony. The sun was shining and the ponies definitely enjoyed themselves, working hard on straightness and control. Well done everyone for your super listening and learning! 👏❤️

Don’t forget the Almondbury Show on Sunday! Lots of showing classes run by branch, with all funds raised coming to support BSPC. There’s our hobby horse jumping too! Also going on are clear round SJ and competitive showjumping so plenty to do, no matter your discipline, and all fun and friendly to give things a go!

Our wonderful judge from last year has had these made up for our champion and reserve champion in showing- you could be the proud winner! 🥇 ❤️

Deposits must be paid by 31 July, with the final balance of £140 due on 8 August.

We’ve got three fun-filled days planned with plenty of riding, activities and great memories to be made. We can’t wait to see you all there!

New for 2026, The Endurostyle Challenge is a new form of Endurance competition coming to The Pony Club Championships!

This is a short format, skills based competition rather than the traditional long distance competitions we know as Endurance. Riders will scored over a series of tasks over a course, working to an optimum time.

This event is by direct entry and will be suitable for both total beginners to Endurance and our seasoned Endurance riders alike, with a shorter course and a longer course on offer!
