Berkeley South was out in force today with 12 of our mini eventers competing at the Beaufort ODE at Tresham: Maisie, Lilly G, Nina, Izzy, Ameliyah, Ella-Mai, Poppy, Bambi, Florence, Enid, Lilly P and Naomi.

For the vast majority, this was their very first One Day Event, or their pony’s first, and they all did an absolutely fantastic job. We couldn’t be prouder of how they rode, supported one another, and cheered each other on throughout the day.

A huge thank you to the lovely Lisa and Marney for all their help and encouragement, which was greatly appreciated by both riders and parents alike.

Clara and Jacob did Berkeley South proud today at the Area 9 showjumping, held at Moreton Showground today. Clara achieved a fantastic 8th place in the 80cm with Dolly in their first competition on grass, meaning they’ve qualified as individuals for the Regional Championships in August. Jacob and Epi had great rounds in the 90cm and 1m classes, achieving individual 18th in the 90cm and individual 12th in the 1m. Their strong performance in the very technical 1m class helped their area team achieve 2nd place 🥈 and so Jacob and Epi are off to represent Berkeley South in the 1m team competition at Pony Club National Championships in August! 🎉👏 Well done Jacob and Clara! ❤️

Congratulations to Enid and Hope on their fantastic races at Exeter Racecourse today!

Hope, a brilliant 6th place finish, and Enid, an amazing 3rd. Well done girls, we are all so proud of you both!

A HUGE well done to all of our lovely members who had such a fantastic spring camp! 🥰 The three days were filled with fun, smiles, laughter and friendship in the way the Berkeley South family does brilliantly! ❤️ All of our members improved their riding across the disciplines and confidence levels just grew and grew, helped by the fantastic coaching on offer, but also through the positivity and support each of our members gave to their BSPC friends- old and new! It was lovely to have so many new members join us and we hope they had a wonderful first camp experience! 🥰 Our last day ended with a mini One Day Event, dismounted games, and a water fight 💦, before badges were awarded. E tests were awarded to Zeeana and Immy, with D tests awarded to Aerin and Eva! Big congratulations girls, well done! 👏🎉

The biggest thanks go to Lisa for organising camp 🥰, our wonderful instructors Ellie, Tanya, Rachel, Bryony and Nikki, and to the parents who helped and supported all of the children so brilliantly- and worked so hard at keeping ponies and children happy and hydrated! ❤️

The booking details for Summer Camp will be out soon, hopefully we can book slightly cooler weather 😎☀️, but still maximise the fun on offer regardless!

The Pony Club is delighted to offer an incredible international opportunity for Pony Club Members aged 18+ to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural and equestrian exchange programme in Hong Kong and Mainland China during September 2026.

Hosted by The Pony Club China and Hong Kong Pony Club, this special Year of the Horse exchange will take Members on an unforgettable journey through Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and rural China, combining equestrian experiences, cultural discovery and international friendship.

🏕️ Residential Camp at Rectory Farm 31 July -2 August. Deposits now open!

This year’s residential camp will be slightly different to usual, as children will not be staying away independently. Unfortunately, there was limited availability at our usual venues this year. We are already looking to secure a date for a stay-away camp without parents for next year and will let you know as soon as possible.

Arrival will be on Friday 31st July to set up camp and settle ponies into their stables.1st & 2nd August will include 4 hours of riding instruction each day, with departure around 4pm on the final day.

Instruction will be provided by Tanya Neville and Bryony Moss.

Riders must be able to ride independently and be confidently jumping 50cm+.

💷 Cost: £305–£346 per person (depending on final numbers)

The price includes:
• Camping pitch for up to 6–8 people
• All food
• Camp top
• Riding instruction
• Activities

A deposit is required now, with the final balance due by 19th July. Payment plans are available, and a £50 voucher can be redeemed by all 2025 members.

⚠️ Places are limited!
If enough interest is shown, we will try to find another instructor and open a third group. Please join the waitlist so we can gauge numbers.

👨‍👩‍👧 Important Information:
• An adult must remain on site and be responsible for their child throughout the camp.
• Family and friends are welcome to join, with a maximum of 6–8 people per pitch.

🍽️ Food Package for adults and family members:
£35 per 24 hours, including breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner.

Please note: there are no washing-up facilities on site. If you wish to cater for yourself, you will need a camper van setup or fully disposable options.

Berkeley South Residential Camp 2026 Berkeley South Residential Camp 2026 opens on 31st July 2026. This South West based horse event will take place at Rectory Farm Arena, 5 Rectory Farm , Cirencester, GL7 7JW.

We are all incredibly proud to share with you not just that AJ and Lego represented Berkeley South, Area 9, AND England at Royal Windsor, but that they did nothing less than winning their section! 🥇🏆🎉. Their fantastic performance contributed also to the English team winning the overall event, so individual and team 1st places! 🥇🏆🎉 AJ, you are an absolute star, you and Lego inspire others in branch (and beyond) to work hard, dream big, and give it your absolute best. 👏 Such HUGE congratulations to you both, and also to your support team who will have worked hard with you day in and day out too. 🎉❤️🎉

What a weekend for our pony racing team at Wincanton! Hope, Angel and Enid did an amazing job representing us, showing great teamwork, determination and support for one another in every kind of weather. We’re so proud of you all.
