Essex Highways is working on a project to improve the walking and cycling route from the town centre towards Gilden Way along First Avenue. We are supportive of any project to improve active travel in Harlow, but input from local users is critical to getting the details right. Much better to help at this stage than complain later! Our comments have been to ensure that the parallel route out of town (NCR 1 - Netteswell Rd) is not ignored and the connexions are adequate and signed. This link provides an outline of the proposed project and a link to a survey to provide comments. The more comments the better for the outcome of the project!
