Ripon Races

One week on… 🌅

It’s hard to believe that this time last week we were preparing to open the gates for the final raceday of our 2026 season.

As things now become quieter here at the racecourse, it feels like the perfect time to say a huge thank you to everyone who has joined us this year – whether you came for one afternoon, returned time and time again, worked with us, raced with us or simply followed from afar.

We’ve loved welcoming you to Ripon and having you be part of another season at Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse ⛲️🌷🍃

The crowds may have gone for now, but work certainly hasn’t stopped behind the scenes – as this early morning sunrise, captured by one of our grounds team shows.

Thank you for being part of our 2026 season.
Now onto planning for 2027!

Congratulations to owner Mr J N Blackburn and trainer Tim Easterby Racing.

🚗 Traffic Notice – Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September

A quick heads-up for anyone travelling in and around Ripon this weekend.

The Darlington Dog Show will be taking place at Ripon Racecourse from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September, while the Harrogate Flower Show is also taking place at Newby Hall over the same weekend.

With both events attracting visitors to the area, traffic on the B6265 and surrounding roads may be busier than usual, particularly at peak arrival and departure times.

We’d recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey!

Help Us Shape 2027 💭🏇

As we start looking ahead to the 2027 season, we want to hear from you!

What did you love about 2026? Is there anything you think we could do better? What themes, entertainment or music would you like to see at Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse next year?

We’ve put together a short survey and would really appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your thoughts and ideas. Your feedback will help us shape our plans for 2027 and make sure we’re continuing to offer the racedays and experiences that our racegoers want to enjoy.

Thank you
