This weeks Dunscroft travelled to Ivanhoe in a game we knew needed a big response after last weeks performance.
From the first whistle we controlled the game and look dominance for the first 15 minutes. We had a corner and the ball came out on the edge of the 18 yard box and on the half volley Brendan Jeffery hit his shot into the top right corner giving the goalkeeper no chance. More than we deserved. With not long before the half we dropped off the pace and they also got a corner which they scored from bringing us level at half time

Couple of changes at half time and the message was to get back playing to how we did first 15 minutes and keep taking as many shots as possible.
2nd half started and for the first 20 minutes it was an even game then a slight change in positions on the pitch meant we could get a grip of the game more and from this the game turned on its head. A nice ball from Brad Teale saw Tyler Harrison get on the end of the pass and poke it round the goalkeeper giving us a 2-1 lead. Then not long after we had a few shots that kept getting blocked one of which came out on the edge of the box and a good pass from Conor Welsh went to Brad Teale who hit the ball on the half volley and managed to wrap his foot round it wonderfully and rifled it into the top corner. Great goal and that put us in the driving seat. With only 5 minutes to go the frustration from Ivanhoe showed as their player wiped out our attacker in the box resulting in a penalty of which Brad Teale converted into the bottom of the net.

A much better showing this week. We made hard work of it again in most of the game but at the end of the day it’s 3 points and onto the next✅
MOTM- this week it goes to Tyler Harrison. Never stopped running all game and put himself about the pitch well. Got himself on the scoresheet and created plenty of chances along the way. Well done mate👍🏻
