There’s plenty of swell, the vibe’s right, and the date’s locked: comp day is Saturday 19th.

Heat draw goes down Friday 18th, 7pm at The Red River Inn – that’s where names get called, nerves kick in, and everyone suddenly remembers they need a leash.

This isn’t a “see how it goes” day. It’s a “turn up, switch on, and surf like it matters” day. Bring your best waves, your loudest cheer squad, and leave the excuses at home.

Fri 18th: find your fate.

The No Pro is nearly here 🌊🔥

Entries are now closed, the surfers are locked in, and the stage is set for an incredible day at Gwithian on Saturday 19th September.

Before the competition gets underway, join us at the Red River Inn on Friday 18th September from 7pm for the official heat draw. Find out who’s surfing who, soak up the pre-event atmosphere and get ready for a full day of action on Saturday.

Once the draw is done, we’ll be keeping the good vibes going with live music from THE WAVE MACHINE 🎶

Bring your mates, grab a drink and come down to support the surfers. The No Pro weekend starts here.

NO PRO 2026 is only a week away!

Here’s a quick run down of how the weekend will shape up, it’s looking like it’s going to be an incredible weekend like always entries are flying in so be sure to get yours in quick before our deadline of Sunday 13th September!

We also have a back up day of Sunday the 20th if the waves don’t play ball, however that choice and more information regarding the event will take place on Friday 18th September at the so be sure to come along and share the pre event stoke!

Less than one week to go until entries close for the NoPro! 🌊

If last year was anything to go by, this one’s set to be even bigger, better and full of the usual barrel of laughs.

The NoPro is a grassroots surf event for surfers who aren’t pros, hence the name 😂 Whether you’ve been surfing for years or just fancy getting involved in something a bit different, this is your sign to take the leap.

Entries are filling up fast, so make sure you’re signed up by Sunday 13 September.

The draw will take place at The Red River Inn, 7pm on Friday 18 September.

Meet Ollie 🌊📸

If you’ve spent time at Gwithian, there’s a good chance you’ve already met Ollie, usually found in the water, camera in hand, down on the beach teaching, or catching you out with his converted speed-camera van!

With an extensive background in sport and a love for being in the ocean, Ollie is always up for a paddle, a surf, or helping you make the most of your time in the water.

Keep an eye out for him next time you’re at the beach — he’s hard to miss! 🤙

Billy

From grom to go-to coach. Billy’s been part of the Gwithian family since day one. Taught by Gab as a kid in the GAS Locals Club, he’s come full circle: from work experience to full-time instructor, spreading good vibes and quality surf coaching here on gwithian.

A face everyone around Gwithian knows and loves, Billy’s the kind of guy who never has a bad word to say about anyone — just pure positivity, patience, and next-level coaching.

We’re so incredibly lucky to have him here at Gwithian Academy of Surfing. If you haven’t surfed with Billy yet, you’re missing out on one of the best! 🏄‍♂️💙
