You are a human. Why follow a program that doesn't treat you like one?
Muscular endurance is essentially doing more reps.
So big sets are an essential part of developing better muscular endurance.
Big sets first, under fatigue later.
Here is an example set and rep scheme you could use:
Max Reps @ 1 Rep in Reserve
-Rest 2+ min-
x 3-5 sets
(or until volume drops by more than 50% from one set to the next)
Body recomposition might be the lowest hanging fruit for your gymnastics training.

Moving from one event to the next as a novice or intermediate competitor is a minefield. Especially if the two events are very different.
Should I blend both types of training together? Really focus on one then the other? Make one a priority maybe?
That is where my client Katie has been for last 4 months. Laying foundations for a CrossFit competition.
This weekend, she completed her ultramarathon - a massive accomplishment!
And now our attention turns to Turf games.
Our last 6 weeks of training are now going to be very different to our next 6 weeks (after a good deload).
We don't want to lose the engine Katie now has but we do want to work on the power output and metcon style events that Turf Games tests - and running does not.
Our next block introduces a lot of technical development work on the Olympic Lifts and some gymnastic strength we have identified as a priority.
With a long run and CrossFit class also in her training week (but not shown), we start to rebalance the scales in preparation for our next event.
This is Week 1.
I quite like the fact that the Olympic Lifts are technical that when we miss, we usually think something went wrong with technique.
But we don't think that about squats.
It is more likely in cleans that it's a technical fault.
But it might be a training quality that actually needs improving.

I used to write programs trying to tick every box.
Strength. Engine. Gymnastics. All at once.
It does not work like that β and it took me too long to figure out that the results I was getting were not what I intended. Don't make that mistake
What's the one area you're currently trying to improve? Tell me below!

Most fitness athletes are training hard. Really hard.
But hard work alone doesn't get you to where you want to go β the right structure does.
Team Unbroken was built for the athlete who is serious about progressing in this sport but hasn't found a program that actually fits.
Maybe you fall into one of these categories!
If you do β try 4 weeks free. Assessment included. DM me to get started!
