Last night at Saddle Club we learnt about correct dress for the various equestrian disciplines and showing classes. Then we made our own outfits for Concour d'elegance ....... from feed bags!

We have had a couple late payments this weekend whereby people ended up missing out on their lessons which obviously nobody wants to see. So just a reminder to get your payment in at least 48hrs in advance so we can allocate the horses and ponies fairly.

I think we can all agree that we would do it again in a heartbeat! Thankyou so much to all who donated, our target was well and truly beaten and the money raised will make such a difference in the ongoing work that Stroke Association does.

Just a reminder that there have been a number of equine flu cases locally so please take care when visiting the yard.
You can't catch it but you can carry it on your clothing equipment etc so please if you have any contact with equines outside of The Grove follow bio security protocols ie before coming wash hands, change clothing/equipment, don't come on to the yards or touch our horses unnecessarily etc.
We are particularly vulnerable as we have elderly horses so we thank you for your help 😊

I think you can guess how we are all feeling today!
We will do a full report at some point but meanwhile a few random stats for you 😊
So far we have raised well over £3,000 from 122 different donations
So enormous thanks to everyone, that's just incredible.
There were 32 horses and ponies involved with a combined age of 594!
the 6 riders (179 total ages) were supported by another 13 support riders (some were too old to count....)
The oldest combination of horse and rider was 91
We covered a total of 178 miles and surprisingly only drank 45 cups of Tea which is a miracle Julie, drinks that on her own most days.
