🦢✨ Silver Swans at Swan Lake ✨🦢

A lovely afternoon at Birmingham Hippodrome watching Swan Lake with lots of our Silver Swans! 🩰🦢

We recently worked on the Odette variation in class, so it was extra special to watch it performed on stage. We’ve also all done the Cygnettes variation in the past, so it was lovely to see that too!

A wonderful afternoon of ballet, friendship and inspiration. 💕🩰

What makes you happy? 🥰

For our Silver Swans, it’s the music, the movement, the friendships, the laughter… and that feeling of coming together every week. 🦢❤️

It’s never just about the dancing.

It’s about how dancing makes you feel. ✨

This is what makes us happy. 💃🦢

✨ This week we celebrate 7 wonderful years of Silver Swans with Kim! ✨

Seven years of moving, dancing, laughing, learning and sharing so many special moments together. 🦢

I feel incredibly grateful and thankful for every single Swan who has walked through the door over the years — those who have been there from the beginning and those who have joined us along the way.

From Hinckley at Concordia Theatre, to Lutterworth and Aylestone, Silver Swans has brought together such a wonderful community of people, friendship and joy through dance. 💙

Thank you to every Swan for being part of this journey. Here’s to celebrating seven beautiful years — and to many more shared moments, music and dancing together! 🥂🦢✨

With so much gratitude, joy and thanks. 💙

🦢 What a wonderful story and a lovely reminder of the impact Silver Swans classes have on people’s lives.

I loved reading how a group of first-year film students captured the spirit, friendship and inclusivity of these classes. It shows that Silver Swans is about so much more than ballet – it’s about community, confidence, movement and joy at every age.

A huge well done to Sonia and her dancers for helping showcase what makes Silver Swans so special. 💙

🦢 What an inspiring achievement!

Congratulations to Lily Turner Smith and LTS School of Dance on celebrating their 3rd anniversary and being featured on both BBC Look East and BBC Breakfast. 🎉

It’s wonderful to see Silver Swans gaining such positive recognition and reaching so many people who may never have thought ballet was for them. With 120 dancers attending classes each week, many of whom had never danced before, Lily’s story is a fantastic example of how dance can improve confidence, wellbeing and bring communities together.

Stories like this help spread the message that it’s never too late to start dancing. 💙
