These results are sent to us by good people at the racetrack and are as seen or heard on the day, any penalties, as we publish them, are only what we are told at the meeting and as such are subject to change, either during the meeting or subsequently. We are all volunteers running these pages and do so for the good of the sort we love. Official results and points are published on the Nationalhotrod.com website once we have received the official data from the NHRPA.

Tonight's heat grids for round 2 of the 2027 Northern Ireland World Series at Aghadowey this evening

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐲

DMC Race Promotions, in conjunction with the Christie family, are pleased to announce that the all-new Super Round for National Hot Rods at our September Speedweekend will see the drivers racing for The Ormond Christie Memorial Trophy.

Arguably the greatest National Hot Rod driver of all time, this will prove to be a fitting way to remember the legacy created by the five-times World Champion. Ormond was a master engineer, an outstanding driver and someone who became a household name in Northern Ireland during the 1980’s and 90’s.

Since Ormond’s untimely passing back in 2019, the Christie family have been exploring how best they could allow our sport to pay tribute to one of the very best. The Super Round format, which will see graded racing on day two of the British Championship weekend for World Qualifying points, is a format the family believe Ormond would have approved of.

There will be a substantial prize fund on offer for the event, and the fully restored 1981 World Championship winning Toyota Starlet will also be unveiled on the day, alongside a display of 962 memorabilia and trophies from Ormond's glittering career.

It promises to be quite an event - more details to follow...
