The 2026/27 Winter Series kicks off this Sunday 27th September at Royston.

The six-round Series is open to all riders – a BC Licence is not required. These are ideal events for club riders to try larger events before planning their 2027 Regional Summer season.

Registration is Online and will be run with MyLaps Transponders - preferably your

For the winter series we are running mixed classes to promote depth of competition
and give riders an opportunity to challenge themselves amongst bigger classes of
riders. For the open classes they will be across two age groups and in the female
across three.

A riders “Race age” for this series is based on 2027 E.g. Rider 2027 minus the year
of birth.

A riders best 4 results count towards Series Standing points, riders qualified for a series award by having competed in the required number of rounds will be ranked higher than riders who may still qualify for a series award who in turn will be ranked higher than riders who can't qualify for the series award.

Parking is free.

All Riders must wear the correct race clothing as defined in the British Cycling BMX
Regulations - tops and trousers must be designed and sold for the purpose of BMX racing - jeans and jogging bottoms are not acceptable.

Riders in the 15 or 16-year categories including cruiser can apply to ride up into the
equivalent 17+. Female riders can elect to ride in a open class of the same age for the series. Any applications must be made in writing (email) to the Committee/Regional Coach.

On race day the classes may, depending on numbers registered, be merged. The
Chief Commissaires decision based on number of riders entered is final.

All riders must check in with their bike, transponder and plate by completing a
practice lap before close of registration. Riders who have not checked in will be
removed from the event - Please ensure you check your registration status on Sqorz.

Its the final showdown of the summer season this Sunday at Norwich as they host the EA Champs.
Theres all the regular race classes, plus a mass game of "foot down" and the day culminates with the infamous EA relay.

The EA BMX School Games Team wrapped up 2nd place across the three day competition after a full day's racing, on top of the previous two days S&C and flat skills tests.

We had 4 out of the 6 riders through to the finals, and picked up two individual medals as Heath Osborne took the bronze in the time trial and Olly Tyers rode am awesome lap for the Bronze in the final.

Thanks to all Julian Allen and Kyle Hill for leading the team across the four days and to all the event organisers for the opportunity🙏

A superb start to the School Games competition from the EA team in Loughborough.
The riders competed on Friday in the S&C competition, and then on Saturday it was the flat skills competition with the riders working through manuals, wheelies,bunnyhops, cornering, and sprint drills before taking on the flat sprint course.
They picked up two bronze medals for the S&C and the Team Skills competition and will beon track for the race day on Sunday 👌

📢BRITS REGIONAL AREA

The EA area for the Brits is down the first straight as marked.

Effectively, the track boundary fencing is being moved back for the weekend and we are on the edge of the park with loads of room in front of the gazebo area fir spectators.

"The first straight regional spaces will be outside the track fence, we will open the fencing for access per region. We are looking to ensure lots of free space around the whole track, worth noting there are trees in the area, hopefully this will provide shade from the sun.🙏"

Your club rep will be coordinating gazebo numbers for the weekend, and please be mindful that this is a regional event with riders from across the clubs sharing the space, not just your clubs members. Please keep dogs, bikes, and smoking away from the gazebo area, and ensure gazebo space is available for riders 👍
