Dive Medicals at Ipswich Scuba

On Saturday 10th October, Dr Oliver Firth from Hyperdive is coming to Ipswich Scuba for the day to carry our our annual HSE Dive Medicals and the Fit to Dive Medicals.

If you require a HSE Diving medical or a fit to dive medical for your scuba diving, then we currently have the following available times on the day for you to book on and come see Dr Oli.

Another sunny weekend 🌞 and we were lucky to be scuba diving at Stoney Cove. Congratulations to Tom for gaining his Open Water Diver Certification, Colin for gaining his Open Water Diver and Dry Suit Certification and to Tony for passing his Deep Diver and Navigation Diver Certifications. A massive thank you to Steve, Ashley, Debbie, Wendy and Juliana for helping and for all their hard work. Finally thank you to Graham, Sunny and Nick for joining us for some leisure diving too. On Sunday 13th September 5 of us braved the potential rain and hit Felixstowe Pier followed by Fish and Chips, bowling and arcades. In total we picked up 2.8kg of litter, which might not seem a lot but a lot of the litter picked was cigarette butts and microplastics so a large success in itself. The most unusual objects picked were a false nail and a black hair comb. Join us for a beach clean this Sunday.

Meeting at Felixstowe Pier - opposite The Pier Fish CO - Fish and Chip shop for 2:15pm.

Litter pick starts at promptly at 2:30 pm, we can provide the bags but please bring gloves and pickers if you have them.

Then at 4 pm:

Check out these amazing Oceanarium 22L Foldable Drypacks we have new in the shop. They come in the style of a backpack, they are very lightweight, and come complete with a chest strap, waist strap, bottle holder and pockets. Choose you new friend - whether it is the sea turtle or the whaleshark.

P.S Gemma tested hers this weekend on her boat dives at Swanage and highly recommends it.

On Saturday 29th August 10 of our divers wandered the streets around our dive centre and did a little bit for our planet collecting litter. Afterwards a few more joined us for a BBQ and good food with only a very short spell of rain. Scuba diving is more than a sport it is a community and we love spending time with our scuba divers and our mini future scuba divers too.
