Looking at stuff with Rose and Micheal today. Lots of otters, lots of eagles and we had a very god chuckle at another group excitedly taking photos of 2 ‘golden eagles ‘ which looked and sounded awfully like a pair of buzzards. We also bought some cake.

A fun day today with Margo, Steve and Oliver. Of course we had to visit the rather brilliant ardalanish_mill there’s nowhere better on a wet and windy day.

Jarlath and Frank out on a wet and windy adventure today. Jarlath referred to the Landy as a Jeep and received the appropriate ’look’.

Remember people, Landys have feelings too, they are not, and never will be a Jeep.

Today’s victims were Andrea and Martin who were recommended me by the very brilliant Kathi | Scotland Travel Expert
We experienced some wonderful proper Scottish wind and rain interspersed with sunshine just in time for an eagle flypast. We saw some goo, some guts and a new a new plant I’d not spotted on this walk before.
Another fab day in the hills.

Yes was the answer, of course it would be, everything aligned as it should to make this a magical walk. This was a walk with a hidden plan, lots of organising behind the scenes, people to get into place at certain times but what was the question?
Morgan and Connor wanted a memorable adventure, they hadn’t banked on learning to point, extensive chats about fantasy books (I had to distract Connor so he didn’t get too nervous!) and looking at poo but this all added to a magic of Mulls hills in the mist. We also washed our hands in unicorn p*e to prove just how special this place is.
Navigation was a little challenging and but we got to THE spot right on time, photographer@shelley_richmond_ was waiting with Bridget to expertly capture the moment.

Congratulations Morgan and Connor, what a fabulous, memorable day for a lovely couple.

6 sea eagles above our house today, the unmistakable call alerted us to come rushing out for a viewing. Eagles aren’t often vocal but groups of youngsters are, like hoodlums out to cause mischief they saw about on the thermals shouting to each other.

What would you shout if you were a sea eagle?

Sexton beetle with phoretic mites on its back. The mites just use the beetle for transportation and are not harmful but if you look closely at the video it looks like something else has hitched a lift as well which is causing some irritation to the beetle.

You won’t see many adverts on my feed, well none in fact other than this (I’m not even very good at advertising myself) but these socks are fab, they may not be as impressive as a gortex jacket or snazzy walking trousers) but to any hill walker, runner these socks are the best I’ve found.

I’ve been wearing them for well over a year now and wouldn’t consider anything else.
