We've raised an amazing amount for 3 charities this year, and it couldn't have been done without the support of you wonderful swimmers so THANK YOU! The money has been split between:

- Brixham Lifeboat Station - for the amazing RNLI volunteer work
- Bantham Surf Lifesaving Club - to continue education and learning among the local community
Swim Safe Projects - education, qualifications and practical session for local people

Bright Hats and Tow Floats make a massive difference.

This photo is just 10m away from the swimmers with flat calm water, but look how without bright swimming equipment the people fade into the background and could easily be mistaken for buoys or not seen at all.

While the water stays warm (ish) a little longer the air temp is dropping and we are heading into colder weather and colder water. Here's our top 3 safety tips:

- Always swim with someone else, never alone, inform lifeguards of your plans
- Wear a bright hat and tow float as it makes you much more visible to other people and essential in emergency situations
- Know your area, and check the local conditions and tides

A beautiful day earlier this summer swimming around Burgh Island - our 2027 dates are being released soon, so diaries out to book in your adventure!

It's taken a while to total up, but today we can confirm that we raised a wonderful £387.50 at the Brixham Breakwater Race, which this morning was donated to the Brixham Life Boat Station so they can keep doing their amazing work!

We are working on Brixham Breakwater Swim 2027 - so watch this space!
