🏆The Lee Wooler Trophy – 2026 🏆
Kilmacolm Golf Club won back the Lee Wooler Trophy on Saturday 19 September in what was a fantastic day of junior golf.
We had a record entry of 72 juniors from 26 different clubs from across the country. Despite challenging weather, football injuries and illness, 61 juniors eventually took to the course — another record for the event. 👏
We were delighted to welcome some very special visitors, with three generations of Lee Wooler’s family joining us for the day. This included his grandson, Blair, who also brought along a great contingent of juniors from Falkirk Golf Club.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success.
👏 Jim Mackie and John Tanner did a fantastic job as starters, with John McLeman helping at the check-in desk.
👏 John Dale and our Green’s Team worked incredibly hard to get two competitions played after some very wet weather.
👏 Nadia and Sophie looked after our clubhouse customers, while Angela’s Kitchen was in full tasty flow!
Thank you to the whole team for making all our visiting juniors, families and clubs feel so welcome.
