Don’t let your vaccination lapse. Latest horse in Cheshire that has got the flu, was due to a lapsed vaccination. It’s very easy for that to happen. So make sure you check your records to insure it doesn’t happen to you.

There’s a big increase in flu outbreaks, so make sure your vaccinations are up to date, to give them the best protection.

The Five Domains Model is used to assess animal welfare through identifying key areas that influence an animal's ability to survive and thrive in their environment 📋

The four physical or functional areas of environment, nutrition, health and behavioural interactions all feed into your horse's mental state – in other words, how they're feeling and responding to a situation.

World Horse Welfare has a handy guide to the Five Domains Model and how you can apply it to your own horse's care. You can access it, plus test your knowledge on the model, here 👉 https://bit.ly/WHW_FiveDomains

Help spread the word to all the drivers and road users that you know. Passing horses slow and wide, a 2 metre gap where possible and going at no more than 10mph, could prevent an incident that might put multiple lives at risk .
