Today, our first team cricket captain, Ben Simm, had the honour of making his debut for the England Lions Cricket Team. On a fabulous day in Yorkshire he was not out in the first innings and got two wickets on the second innings. On another fantastic note, he had to bowl against one of his old team mates, Sam Moorby!

It is with great sadness that we share the news that a valued member of the LCC community, Matthew Maxwell-Scott, has sadly passed away.

Matthew was a former committee member who remained actively involved with the club and was a familiar face around LCC. As the proud father of two sons who play for the club, he was a much-loved part of our cricket family.

Matthew will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, generosity, and his willingness to help wherever he could. He was well respected by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his loss will be felt by so many across our club.

On behalf of everyone at LCC, we send our heartfelt condolences to his wife Mel, his children Rufus & Charlie, and all of his family and friends. Our thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time.

Funeral details will be shared by the club once they have been announced.

We know this news will come as a shock to many of our members and friends. Please keep Matthew’s family in your thoughts as they navigate the days and weeks ahead.

Rest in peace, Matthew. You will be greatly missed.

We've got new pumps being installed tomorrow, which means we've got some cheap drinks available later🍺

We're also thinking about opening up for the England game ⚽🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Before we sort everything out, we just wanted to see if there's enough interest.

Well what can i say .... what a fantastic night at the club for Rosies charity night, a night when we all came together to raise funds to take Rosie on holiday ... lots of raffle prizes and a few auctions, tonight has shown what family, friendship and community is all about in the most amazing club, I will send out thank you letters to all that donated prizes, tonight along with a previous football card and a donation from The Jim Harrison bowls competition we have raised a grand total of £1600...
Thank you to everyone that came down tonight and to all those not there that bought raffle tickets.
