🏁 Irish Kart Grand Prix – Senior Rotax
This weekend marked my switch from IAME X30 to Senior Rotax, competing in the Irish Kart Grand Prix with Ulster Karting Club at Nutts Corner Circuit.
Saturday was a real mixed bag in the heats, with results ranging from P2 to a DNF. Some tough and some rough racing in a grid of 32 karts.
Sunday saw me start P15 in the Pre-Final, working my way through to finish P8.
Then in the Final I crossed the finish line in P4️⃣.

A small kart, big dreams and no idea where it would lead…
Fast forward to today – competing on the world stage, chasing goals I once only dreamed of, and gaining so much more than just results along the way. Incredible friends, teammates who feel like family, unforgettable memories and lessons that will last a lifetime.
Grateful for every mile, every race, every triumph, every setback and everyone who’s been part of the journey so far.

That’s a wrap on an intense week of racing at IWF 2025 World Finals in Valencia 🇪🇸💥

This morning, after yesterday's trials and tribulations I started the Super Final in P25, made strong progress through the field in the first few laps before my chain snapped on lap 4 — which meant starting all the way back in P33 for the Grand Final.

Fought hard, stayed focused, and brought it home in P12, gaining 21 positions 🔥

Huge thanks to my team T-Sport, Aidan Tully for the effort all week, my dad Ryan Murphy for every single thing he does, and my right-hand man Joseph Mc Mahon for keeping me going 👊

Thanks also to the Irish supporters who were amazing! You all got a mention from the commentators for being a strong supporting crowd for the Irish drivers S125 grand final on the live streaming🙌

Massive congratulations as well to all the Irish drivers on their superb performances this week — great to see such strong results across the board 👏💪

It’s been an exhausting, emotional, yet rewarding few days filled with many highs and lows, and we pushed it to the limit and gave our all. Sleep will feel good tonight 😴🏁

Tough day at the track 💥

Heat 4 ended early after a kart came over the back of me on lap 6 — not the way I wanted it to go. Regrouped and pushed hard in Heat 5 to finish P17.

Tomorrow morning I line up P25 for the Super Final, ready to give it absolutely everything to fight my way up the grid for position in the Grand Final! 🔥💪🏁

🔥 What. A. Day. 🔥
Qualifying and Heat 1 — and honestly, it was brutal.

Qualified P23, not where I wanted to be, and the kart took an absolute beating on track. Then, just when we thought it couldn’t get worse… we pulled the cover off before Heat 1 and found the chassis snapped clean in two. 😳

That was it — day over before it began.
No Heat 1 for me.

But giving up isn’t an option. 💪
A new chassis was sourced, and the rest of the day was spent building my new wheels and getting everything ready to come back stronger for the next two heats tomorrow.

If today proved anything… it’s that racing will test you, but you keep fighting.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings. 👊

Buzzing to be racing at the IAME Warrior Final 2025 in Valencia, Spain 🇪🇸 — representing Team Ireland in the X30 S125 class!

Practice/testing is all done and we jump straight in to qualifying and Heat 1 today😊

Can’t wait to hit the track and give it everything against the best drivers from around the world 🔥💪

Massive good luck to my Irish teammates Eimear Carey, Jamie English and Robbie Buckley in S125 — let’s do Ireland proud! 🍀
