👣🎵 Let's Talk Rhythm in Tot Bop! 💃🎉

Wondering how music and dance go hand in hand for our little movers?

Did you know that introducing rhythm right from the start has incredible benefits for your little one's development? It’s amazing for language and cognitive development, early numeracy and emotional expression.

Also understanding the musical phrase, alongside the highs and lows of both volume and style helps a child’s dancing enormously as they learn how to translate musicality into movement.

🌟 It’s PARACHUTE WEEK at Tot Bop! 🌟

Every 3 weeks or so, the parachute makes an appearance at the end of each class, as a ‘grand finale’ before we start new exercises and routines the next week. We just love how excited the children get when the parachute comes out! And it’s not just for the fun, there’s an ulterior motive too … parachute exercises are great for encouraging children to work together as a team! 🌈

We like having small classes! Our Tot Bop classes only have up to 15 children per class. That way every child receives individual attention and feels part of the class. 🕺💃💙💖

We often get asked by slightly anxious new Tot Bop parents, ‘do I stay with my child in the class or leave them?’

All Tot Bop preschool classes are parent/carer participatory, so be prepared to get your groove on and join in! Don’t worry, you won’t be alone! As well as being a lovely activity that you share with your child, the act of joining in with them helps them relax and find the confidence to join in too. And becomes a fun thing that you do together! Trust me, you’ll love it too! ❤️

As the children get older and move up the classes, they become more independent and tend to eventually need you less. Sob sob! 😢 Make no mistake, they will tell you in no uncertain terms when they are ready to dance by themselves! 🕺💃
