Happy 1st Birthday to Peace Place People! It’s a year and a day since I opened the doors and taught the first class in our beautiful studio. I’ve been overjoyed at the love and support I have received and am so proud of the beautiful community we’re creating here.
Yoga is not about the shapes we make with our bodies. At our studio we look at weaving yoga into our whole lives and knowing ourselves better physically, mentally and emotionally. Yes we do physical yoga postures, but there’s so much more to our practice such as breath, meditation, mantra, Kirtan, yoga nidra, and lots of cups of tea and cakes too. Everyone welcome, all ages, all bodies. Term starts this week. Book / Get in touch via link in bio, I’d love to teach you. Sam 🕉️🙏

Heart-Based Living Workshop Day
Slow down. Breathe. Create. Reconnect.
Join yoga teacher Sam Burlton and artist & workshop facilitator Robert Lackerstein for a nourishing day of creativity, reflection and gentle wellbeing at the beautiful Blossom Farm Retreat.
This is not an art class, a yoga class or a meditation retreat.
It is an invitation to spend a day reconnecting with yourself.
Through Robert’s inspiring artwork and storytelling, you’ll explore themes such as stillness, self-worth, authenticity, inner child and living from the heart. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to a group artwork in a relaxed, supportive environment—no artistic experience or talent is needed. There is absolutely no pressure to produce anything “good”; the emphasis is simply on enjoying the creative process.
Throughout the day Sam will guide a series of simple, accessible wellbeing practices designed to calm the nervous system and help you reconnect with yourself. Together we’ll explore gentle mindful movement, easy breathwork, meditation and practical techniques that you can continue using long after the retreat has finished.
There will be time to wander the gardens, enjoy meaningful conversation, reflect quietly if you choose, and savour a delicious home-cooked lunch prepared by Blossom Farm Retreat.
Whether you arrive feeling busy, overwhelmed or simply in need of a day for yourself, you’ll leave with practical tools, fresh perspectives and a renewed sense of calm, connection and hope.
The day includes:
• Inspiring talks exploring Robert’s heart-centred artwork
• Relaxed creative art activities (no experience necessary)
• Gentle mindful movement suitable for all abilities
• Simple meditation and breathwork practices
• Techniques to help regulate the nervous system
• Time in nature and peaceful surroundings
• Delicious home-cooked lunch and refreshments throughout the day
• Practical ideas to help you continue living from the heart long after the retreat ends

Kirtan & Uplifting Songs from the Heart
Friday 14 August | 7:00–9:00pm
Peace Place People Yoga & Meditation Studio, Lincoln
Join us for an uplifting evening of kirtan—a joyful practice of singing simple mantras and heart-centred songs together in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Kirtan is a traditional call-and-response form of chanting that has been practised for centuries. It isn’t about performing or having a good singing voice. Instead, it is an opportunity to come together in community, quiet the mind, open the heart, and experience the joy of singing with others.
Our guest teacher, Rāma, Yoga with Rama, has been sharing mantra and kirtan for many years and is delighted to bring this beautiful practice to Peace Place People. We hope this will become a regular opportunity to gather at the end of the week, slow down, and reconnect with ourselves and one another.
Whether you’re completely new to kirtan or have enjoyed chanting before, you’ll be warmly welcomed. Everything is taught as we go, with the words provided throughout the evening, so you can simply relax and join in at your own pace.
Many people find that regular chanting can help to:
🕉️ Bring a sense of calm and inner peace
🕉️ Improve focus and concentration
🕉️ Release stress and stored emotions
🕉️ Lift mood and cultivate feelings of joy and connection
🕉️ Encourage mindful presence and a sense of belonging
Please bring a bottle of water. Chairs and meditation cushions are provided, and we’ll finish the evening with hot drinks and light refreshments.
Investment
We believe wellbeing should be as accessible as possible, so we invite you to pay what you can comfortably afford:
* £15 – Supported Ticket
* £20 – Standard Ticket
* £25 – Supporter Ticket (helping us make future community events more accessible)
Everyone is welcome. We look forward to sharing this special evening with you. DM to book or via booking system in Link In Bio.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of visiting Tealwood Grange Care Home to lead a gentle seated yoga session for residents.
One of the reasons I’m so passionate about sharing yoga is that it can be adapted for almost everyone. You don’t need to be flexible, fit, or able to get down onto a yoga mat. Yoga can meet you exactly where you are.
Together we explored gentle movement, breathing practices and relaxation, helping to ease stiffness, encourage mobility and create a sense of calm. There were plenty of smiles and laughs along the way too.
It was lovely to see residents giving something new a try and enjoying the opportunity to move, breathe and connect with one another.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined me and to the wonderful team for such a warm welcome. I’m already looking forward to coming back.
Sam x🧘♀️🙏
If your care home, community group or organisation would like to explore seated yoga, relaxation or meditation sessions, I’d be delighted to have a chat. 🙏🧘♀️
