Not to be for Fionn Convey today in his final at the Cuchulainn International Boxfest. He put in a strong performance against a very good kid from England - after a slow start, he won the second round and push the action/pace in round three but lost a split-decision.

We congratulate our opponent from Repton Boxing Club on his deserved win 👏👏

Well done to Fionn for boxing so well at Open Level in only his 4th bout. Big future ahead of him.🩵🖤

The club wishes safe travel home ✈️ and blessings to Newburgh Hook Elite Life Skills & Boxing Club.

In addition to them competing on our club show last Thursday the Americans also boxed at the Cuchulainn International Boxfest yesterday.

Several of our boxers and boxers from visiting clubs also benefited from invaluable rounds of sparring with them including:

Alfie Harvey
Fionn Convey
Kyron McManus
Eva Simkova
Kaci Crowley
Cameron Suttle
Luke Duncan
Rhys Owens

Overall this international exchange program was a great success and extremely mutually beneficial to both groups.

We sincerely thank all the volunteers and sponsors that made it possible and we will be issuing individual acknowledgements next week.🩵🖤

Tough day at the the Cuchulainn International Boxfest for the club. Unfortuately, Alfie had to withdraw due to sickness and despite 4 losses the perfornances and effort from our boxers was very good and promising.

Matin/Kyron & Vladimir are all novice boxers and did very well as they were competing in an Open Class competition.

Eva was unwell too and we considered withdrawing her but she was determined to compete. Although off form she did very well but lost on a split decision.

However, Fionn Convey progressed to the final and will complete for Gold tomorrow morning.🥇🤞

Another great night of boxing with some cracking contests. 3 of the 4 split decisions wins went in favor of the local Irish clubs 🇮🇪 as they edged out Hook Elite🇺🇸 5-3 in the team match. But some exceptional perfornances and great talent displayed from our visitors.

The club sincerely thanks all the sponsors, volunteers, officials and visiting clubs that made tonight possible and of course the boxers that trained so hard and put on a great show.

We also greatly appreciate all the supporters that came to watch - you created a great atmosphere for the event and provide a brilliant Fermanagh welcome.💚🤍

Finally a massive well done to our 2025/26 season award winners:

🥊Alfie Harvey - Best New Boxer
🥊Eva Simkova - Best Junior Boxer
🥊Aaliyah Butler - Boxer of Season

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Lastly well done to Leonard Lee, Hook Elite Boxing Club on their fantastic boxers both talanted and having great sportmanship!🩵🖤
