Annual Dog Show – This Sunday, 9th August

Our annual Dog Show returns this Sunday at Bowring Park, and we’d love to see you and your four legged friends there.

There’s no need to book, simply turn up and register your dog for one or more categories on the day. Please make sure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your chosen category to allow time for registration.

Show Schedule

12:15pm – Cutest Pup
12:35pm – Golden Oldie
12:55pm – Best Rescue
1:15pm – Best Dressed

Break

1:55pm – Looks Like Their Owner
2:15pm – Waggiest Tail
2:35pm – Best Trick

Live music will follow from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, making it a great afternoon for all the family.

Summer at Bowring Park just got even better!

We’ve made a few updates to our Summer Events programme, so if you’ve already seen it, it’s worth taking another look.

From princesses and superheroes to our Bowring Dog Show, yoga, disc golf, guided bike rides, gardening club, circus skills, live DJs, live music and our huge Summer Fun Day – there’s something happening right through August for all ages.

Whether you’re looking for a family day out, something active, or just a reason to enjoy the park, we’ve got you covered.

This Sunday at Bowring Park it’s Superheroes vs Princesses and it’s shaping up to be a brilliant afternoon for the whole family!

From 12pm–4pm, DNA Kids will be bringing the fun with a children’s disco, games, prizes, bubbles (or a smoke machine!), and plenty of entertainment. There will be Face painting, plus Charm Offensive will be joining us too.

With a selection of stalls offering pet products,treats and fresh fields animal sanctuary here at the park giving free health and behaviour checks for all our fury friends.

Yesterday we welcomed more than 100 players to Bowring Park for the Bowring Open.

A huge congratulations to our very own Phil Bradshaw, who claimed this year’s Bowring Open title, a fantastic achievement on home turf.

A big thank you to everyone who took part, supported the event and worked behind the scenes to make the day such a success. It was brilliant to see so many golfers enjoying the course, and we’re already looking forward to next year.
