"Certainly, I recall it.

"Naturally, both yourself and Hendo [Jordan Henderson] were instrumental for me, alongside Jürgen [Klopp]. The opportunity to speak with you was already profoundly impactful.

"The desire to play for this club was incredibly strong and intense.

"And the supporters embraced me from the very beginning. Scoring against Everton [on my debut] also provided a significant boost."

"The past year, from the start of pre-season to our World Cup elimination, was incredibly demanding. Therefore, I felt the need for a substantial break, which afforded me approximately three additional days compared to Ryan, Flo, and Alex.

"A key consideration for me was to avoid traveling to America to prevent jet lag and its subsequent recovery.

"I found it beneficial to utilize those extra days at the AXA facility, completing testing prior to the team's return, ensuring I was fully prepared to immediately re-engage upon their arrival. I personally felt this was the most effective approach."

“This period certainly feels like a transitional phase. It is incumbent upon everyone associated with Liverpool to ensure we are constructing a foundation for sustained success in the years ahead. While we aspire to achieve success this year, significant work remains.

"We are all aware of the challenges inherent in competing across the Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup, and Champions League, necessitating peak performance from every individual.
