Men who donβt watch football, what do they do with their timeπ. Football keeps us together and banter makes us watch the next game.

Nobody is saying the team has to score and not Messi lol.

I didnβt see Thierry Henry criticising Lionel Messi for always outshining his teammates..
βThe team has to score not youβ but so far, Argentina have scored 5 goals in the World Cup and none came from either of the Argentines players except Messi.
So why arenβt anyone saying the team has to score and not him? Why are the Argentines players looking for Messi to score?
Hypocrisy

Ricardo Quaresma on Thierry Henry's message to Cristiano Ronaldo: βHe needs to understand that what is important is that the team scores, not you.β
π£οΈ βI have enormous respect for Thierry Henry because he is one of the greatest players the game has ever seen, but when it comes to Cristiano Ronaldo, I think people sometimes forget who they're talking about.β
βFor nearly two decades, Cristiano has carried the expectations of clubs, teammates, managers, and an entire country on his shoulders. He didn't become football's greatest goalscorer by thinking only about himself.β
βWhat makes this debate so strange is that people talk as if Ronaldo is angry when Portugal score without him. I've never seen that. What I've seen is a player who has dedicated his entire life to helping his teams win trophies.β
βOf course Cristiano wants to score goals. Every great striker wants to score goals. Thierry Henry wanted to score goals. I wanted to score goals. That's the mentality that takes you to the top.β
βBut wanting to score and putting yourself above the team are two completely different things, and I don't think those things should be confused.β
βPeople see Cristiano's passion, his frustration, his emotions during matches, and immediately create stories around them. The reality is that nobody demands more from Cristiano Ronaldo than Cristiano Ronaldo himself.β
βIf Portugal win 3-0 and Ronaldo doesn't score, do you really think he isn't happy? This is a player who has spent years sacrificing for the national team and helping Portugal achieve things many thought were impossible.β
βI played alongside him. I saw the work ethic, the commitment, the obsession with success. Everything he does comes from wanting Portugal to win, not from wanting attention for himself.β
βThe problem with being Cristiano Ronaldo is that every gesture becomes a headline, every expression becomes a debate, and every comment about him becomes a global discussion.β
βBut let's be honest if Portugal lift the World Cup, nobody will remember who scored every goal. They will remember that Portugal became world champions, and Cristiano Ronaldo knows that better than anyone.β

This is Ronaldo in 2004 when he was being introduced to the national team, he saw his elders and respected them by helping them in every possible way, that Joao Neves comment is the most disrespectful comment I have heard from any player from Portugal, let that stup!d boy apologize or he should never step foot in the second game.

When Ronaldo retires, Portugal will know that they are not different from Armenia.
They are getting all the attentions because of Ronaldo.

π΅πΉπ³ βπβπππΎπΈπ βπΈπβ πβπ»πΌβ π½πβπΌ πβ ππβππΈπ ππΌπ»ππΈ! βStatements from JoΓ£o Neves & a β€οΈ emoji from Bruno Fernandes have sparked an absolute storm among fans.
It all began when Neves stated that Cristiano Ronaldo "is just another player within the squad and is here to help the team like everyone else." Shortly after, Bruno Fernandes reacted with a β€οΈ emoji to a post by the midfielder, and social media exploded.
βSince then, Bruno and Neves have faced an avalanche of criticism. Even players like Vitinha and Pedro Neto have been targeted by some supporters.
βπ£οΈ Among the most repeated comments are messages like:
"Respect Cristiano," "Pass him the ball more," or "Play for him the way Argentina plays for Messi."
βMost unfortunate of all is that the situation has gone beyond footballβeven JoΓ£o Neves's partner has received messages asking her to convince her boyfriend to "respect" Cristiano.
