🚀 NEW BIKE DAY FOR MICHAEL! 🚀

Now this is one serious bit of kit. 🔥

Say hello to Michael’s new Merida Reacto 8000 — and what an absolute weapon it is! 😍

Michael was already pretty excited when he picked it up, but the real fun started on the way home…

Just 4km into the journey, Michael dropped us a message to say his Strava had already lit up — his pace was up by 5km/h! 😳💨

Quick? Michael, mate… you’ve only just started! 😂

Looks like the Reacto is doing exactly what it was built to do. ⚡️

Enjoy the new ride, Michael. We reckon there are going to be some seriously quick Strava segments coming our way! 👀

Welcome to the Reacto club. Ride fast, ride happy. 🖤💨

🚨 WE’VE BEEN UP TO SOMETHING… 🚨

Okay, we’ve been a little quiet on here lately. Holidays got in the way, the workshop has been absolutely flat out, and, well… sometimes fixing bikes wins over posting about bikes. 😎🔧

But behind the scenes, we’ve been working with Shimano and we’re pretty stoked to announce that OneSixSix Velo is becoming a Shimano Service Centre. 🔥

What does that mean?

It means we’re investing even more into the technical knowledge, equipment and service standards needed to properly work on Shimano-equipped bikes — from the latest tech and electronic systems through to the stuff that keeps your bike running sweet.

BUT… before anyone starts worrying…

🚲 Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, or whatever you’ve got bolted to your bike — we’ve got you.

We’re still the same workshop for all bikes, all brands and all riders. ❤️

Over the next few months, you’ll see some small changes happening around the workshop as we continue to level things up.

So… watch this space. 👀

Or, even better…

Pop in. Say hello. Show us your bike. Show us some support.

And if you’re coming in…

🥐 Bring pastries.

We work significantly better on pastries.

Welcome to the OneSixSix Velo family, Daniel! 🙌

Daniel has just joined up with his brand-new Genesis CDA 20 — and if there’s one bike built to go anywhere, this is it!

Whether it’s pootling around the Heath, commuting into work, heading out for a weekend adventure or taking the scenic route just because he can… the CDA 20 is ready for it all. 🌳🛣️

Daniel intends to literally take this beauty anywhere, and we reckon he’s got the perfect bike for the job! 😎

Enjoy the ride, Daniel, and thanks so much for your support of OneSixSix Velo. 🙏

Now… where are you taking it first? 👀

🚲 Austin’s school-run upgrade! ⚡️

Austin emailed us looking for an e-bike for the start of the school term — something practical for getting the little one to school, but also compact enough to fit comfortably inside those BikeNest storage boxes.

Enter the Tern Quick Haul. 🙌

We invited Austin in on Saturday, fitted a 2-step removable child seat, and took him out for a test ride.

Needless to say… he was sold! 😎

Compact, practical, brilliantly designed and genuinely fun to ride — the Tern Quick Haul just delivers.

Perfect for school runs, everyday errands and keeping the car at home a little more often. 🚴‍♂️💨
