🏆 CHAMPIONS. The London Mastodons are the inaugural BBF Division 5 title holders.

A 16–9 win over New Forest Thunder in the Championship Game at Grovehill Ballpark — and no small thing, either: the Thunder came in at 19-5, the best regular-season record in the division. The Mastodons put up 19 hits and never trailed, scoring in six of seven innings.

Wesley Sprague took the win with nine strikeouts. Graeme Hibbs went 4-for-5 with three RBI, Jonathan Woo 4-for-5, Mark Streather 3-for-4. And manager John Tolibas came in to pitch the final inning of his own championship game.

Congratulations to John and every one of you. First season in the division, first trophy in the cabinet. 👏

⚾️ FALL BALL 2026 — WEEK 1 IS IN THE BOOKS

Twelve games across Saturday and Sunday at Finsbury Park.

The Major League opened with a perfect three-way tie — Acorn edged the Launchers 10-9, the Slammers answered 15-1, and the Launchers took the Slammers 6-4. Everyone 1-1, run differential doing the talking.

In the Minors the Expos and Pumpkin Pitchers both went 2-0, the Pitchers surviving a 13-12 thriller against the Witches.

Youth belongs to the Newark Eagles — 6-5 over the Monarchs, 6-5 over the Grays, two one-run wins and top of the table.

GAME 1 — METS 11, ARROWS 3 🔵⚪

One down, one to go. The Mets came out swinging in the NBL Championship Finals opener at Somerdale Pavilion, putting three on the board in the first and blowing it open with a four-run fifth.

Chris St-Pierre went the distance : 7 innings, 3 runs, 7 punchouts. Aven Fletcher, Conner Brown and Walter Bass all went deep, with Fletcher, Joe Cosgrove and Brown driving in three apiece. 13 hits as a team.

Mets lead the series 1-0. Game 2 is tomorrow at 11:30, win it and the tenth straight title is ours.
