Before Saturday’s Tournament got underway, everyone came together to remember Mick Northwood with a minute’s silence.

It was a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much to Long Lane JFC and touched the lives of so many people both on and off the pitch.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in paying their respects. Mick will always be a part of this club.

The Mick Northwood Community Fun Day is finally here, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to the Northwood Ground as we celebrate Mick’s incredible legacy and raise money for the Community Hospice.

A brilliant pre season game with six goals, some absolute screamers and a penalty shootout to finish it off.

A huge thank you to everyone at Halls Athletic for your hospitality this evening and for the kind words shared about Mick throughout the night. It meant a lot to everyone connected with the club.

On Saturday our Ladies team along with friends and families volunteered to help with getting everything ready for our Mick Northwood Community Day and what a difference they made!!

Who knew our super goalie was such an amazing carpenter creating 6 X new benches for our guests to enjoy.

A huge thank you to all involved, days and people like this help us more than words can say !!
