“Why are women still adapting their riding around their kit?”: Van Rysel launches period cycling shorts to better support female cyclists
Van Rysel says its new women’s menstrual cycling shorts and endurance bib shorts address “the realities of riding head-on”
Van Rysel has launched a new women’s endurance range, which includes cycling shorts intended to support cyclists during their menstrual cycle and endurance-focused bib shorts.
The Decathlon brand says that while women’s cycling continues to grow, product development around comfort in the saddle and menstrual health “has lagged behind”.

UK weather: when will the rain stop? Latest forecasts reveal when drier weather may return
Saturday will begin on a cloudy note for many as an area of low pressure becomes centred over the UK.
Outbreaks of rain will spread northwards and eastwards through the morning, bringing a damp start to the day across large parts of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Scotland will also see spells of rain, particularly across western and central areas.
Strong winds will accompany the rain, especially across southern England where gusts of 45 to 55mph are possible in exposed locations.
