I know it doesn't seem like it right now, but summer is coming... 😅 As such, we've scheduled our social event to take place on Saturday July 11th at the Griffin pub in Whetstone from 7pm onwards. So save the date and take the opportunity to get to know each other a little better when you're not punching each other in the face or choking each other out! Feel free to bring friends along, as long as they're over 18.

You asked and we listened! By popular demand, we're adding an extra intermediate/advanced class to the Muay Thai timetable:

I often get asked what the difference between the beginner and advanced classes is. In a nutshell, we explain less and expect more. Please do feel free to come along and see how you get on. Worst case, you find it too difficult and try again in a month or two!

OOOHHHH KAAAYYY!!! So we've got fighting for the English Pro K1 middleweight belt on Saturday May 2nd in Spitalfields, London.

This fight is a rematch against his last opponent who took a very, very close victory and hence we're going at it again. This time we've upped the anti from amateur to professional rules - 3x3 min rounds with no shin guards.

We could do with a whole heap of support on this one guys. Ticket info in very soon.

One last hurrah...! I've been training so well since being here in Thailand and am feeling great. As the fates would have it and due to a last minute pullout, I got offered to fight on One Championship this Friday. How could I possibly say no?!

Coaches!! The BCA interclub is back for another run on Sunday April 26th...! Please submit your fighter lists as soon as possible for the best chance at getting them matched.

▪︎ We pre match all fights based on weight, experience and age.

• We have an entirely separate floor at our Gym on which fighters can warm up and chill out, away from spectators if desired.

• We only run our interclubs twice a year, so that we're able to give each one or full attention and effort.

• We have a medic on site, in the unlikely event of injury

• We limit the number of fights to ensure that the day doesn't run too late

• Our fights are *actually* controlled. Not too light, but not too heavy - a hard technical spar so that fighters can test their skill, not Aggression.

What an evening!! The Barnet Combat Academy were invited by Dan Tomlinson, MP for Chipping Barnet, to a special reception at the Houses Of Parliment to launch an initiative to use sports clubs to help bring the community together in a variety of ways.

What an honour to have been recognised as a hub for our community and to attend somewhere as prestigious as the epicentre of British politics.

I honestly have to pinch myself sometimes at this rollercoaster that our club and this sport takes me on. Long may it last 🙏🏾
