Seniors County Cup Finals 2026 🏆

What a fantastic weekend for Team Middlesex in Nottingham! Our women’s teams delivered three brilliant victories to secure a superb Middlesex 1-2-3.

Women’s Over 40s - defeated Lancashire 4-1
Women’s Over 50s - defeated Surrey 3-1
Women’s Over 75s - defeated Shropshire 3-1

A special congratulations to captains Samantha, Jane and Vivienne, and all their teams for these outstanding performances.

A particular highlight was the Women's Over 40s who secured an epic result to make it five consecutive years as Champions - an incredible achievement!

Our Men’s Over 65s narrowly missed out against Essex, going down 2-3 in a closely contested match. Well played, everyone.

Congratulations to all our players and captains for representing Middlesex with such pride and determination.

Earlier this summer at the County Championships at Hazelwood Tennis Club, we were joined by Dame Rachel de Souza, the Children’s Commissioner for England.

As a keen tennis fan, Rachel spent time chatting with our junior players and parents, explaining her role and her work advocating for young people.

With hundreds of thousands of 16-year-olds eligible to vote in the next general election, yet only 1 in 5 feeling listened to by politicians, her final survey, The Big Future, aims to reach one million young people. It gives children a platform to share their experiences of growing up today, voice their hopes, and highlight the changes they want to see in their communities.

We would love our Middlesex tennis community to be part of this initiative.

👉 Take the survey: You still have time to complete The Big Future Survey before the 23rd October deadline. Link in the comments.

We are County Cup Race Champions 2026 🏆🎉

An incredible County Cup season for Middlesex Tennis has come to a close with us being crowned County Cup Race Champions for 2026!

This is not only an amazing achievement by the players, but by the support teams that surround them too - their coaches and families.

All the more sweet as our 12U Boys and Girls teams performed heroically at the County Cup Finals in Nottingham and got the points we needed to claim Champions spot.

It’s a huge, huge achievement and an accolade that we last claimed in 2020.

Thank you to all the players contributed to teams, coaches who captained those teams and families who supported the players every step of the way. We really do appreciate the time and commitment you make.

Well done and thank you! 🙌
