Weβre absolutely delighted to share that weβve been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to help us launch Pedal Forward! ππ²
Following on from last yearβs Pedal Powered project, this new funding will help us make an even bigger impact in our community by enabling us to upskill our staff, invest in essential equipment and save even more bikes from landfill. β»οΈπ
Hereβs to more bikes rescued and more skills shared! Huge thanks to Tommy Carlin for calling down to see us, now let's get to work.π

Preloved primary schools, way to go Fountain Primary School and Nursery Unit! ππ«Άβ»οΈ
All thanks to our ongoing partnership with Derry City & Strabane District Council. π
A huge thanks to John from Life Cycles who came to school today to donate some bikes for the start of the new school year. Life Cycles are based at the the North West Transport Hub (the train station), and as an Eco-School, we love their mission of bringing new life to unwanted bikes and scooters.
Thanks so much! π²π΄

Every Life Cycles bike has a story! π
This one had definitely seen better days and was just moments away from ending up in landfill.
But where most people see waste... we see potential!
Our team gave it a makeover; cleaning, painting and servicing it until it was ready for someone else to enjoy. π¨π§
From landfill to loved again. That's the journey of a Life Cycles bike. β»οΈ

Go Team Life Cycles! π
Our squad had an absolute blast at our summer gathering, taking a well earned break from the workshop to enjoy the craic and play a few cycling games. Safe to say it got very competitive... there are definitely some rematches to be had! π
Now it's back to doing what we do best, getting your bikes ready! Come visit us at the North West Transport Hub, every Wednesday - Saturday 1-5pm. π²

Another busy day at Pennyburn Recycling Centre! β»οΈ
Just look at the number of bikes that have arrived over the past couple of days! π
This is exactly what we love to see! Thanks to the continued support of Derry City & Strabane District Council, every bike in this photo will be diverted from landfill and given a new purpose. π
Some will be carefully refurbished and made ready for a new owner, whilst others will provide quality second-hand parts to keep even more bikes on the road. π΄
