Bikeseven thankfully is not directly adversely affected by the situation at the Accell Group. It must be said Bikeseven have historically supported the brands within the group as the original importers of the brands Haibike and Winora, as well as dealers of Koga, Van Nicholas, Raleigh and XLC.
However during the past 5 years we have switched to PonGroup brands such as Gazelle, Kalkhoff, and BBB.
Therefor the statement published today, 5th August, is not critical for Bikeseven.
It reads:: "Accell Group Holding B.V. and its Dutch subsidiaries, a European bicycle and bicycle parts manufacturer with global operations, today announces that, following an exhaustive review of all possible alternatives, suspension of payments was granted to the Dutch entities". Bikeseven hope this situation will not adversely affect the Accell UK team as we have been developing a service relationship with them.
In the meantime please be assured Bikeseven seek to give you the best possible service whatever the outcome of this crisis. Some of our key brands are independent, global and UK in origin and we hope that they will be protected from the fall out of this scenario. Scottish Success in Switzerland!.
The 2026 European Mountain Bike Championship have comee to a close in Monteceneri with a spectacular elite men's race that confirmed the excellent moment of international cross country. Charlie Aldridge knew how to wait for his moment to launch a decisive attack against an Italian and 2 Swiss riders on the last lap and proclaim himself the European XCO champion, completing a historic double after also winning the Short Track (XCC) title just three days earlier.A Scottish success. Now is your time to get on your MTB. Bikeseven in Longtown is the Gateway to the 8 trail centres of the 7Stanes.. If you want a real MTB bike why not stop by? Get into action!
The MTB European Championships are on. Switzerland is welcoming Europe to race for the UEC ultimates. In the Elite we have several British riders (and 1 Dutch rider!).
Watch the races if you can and be inspired to get out there. Bikeseven have a great track record in some of the finest MTB bicycles with KONA being the premium brand. Good news is that now British re-launched brand NUKEPROOF has been added. Fantastic news. Tour de France 2026 - Final.
What a Tour it has been! Beautiful scenery, fabulous support, exceptional achievements, individual characters, committed teamwork, intense competition, scary accidents, and spectacular cycling. Absolutely enjoyable stage after stage. And then to think this global spectacle for 2027 is planned to start in our region. As Bikeseven team we are chuffed to have the Tour caravan ride on a couple metres from our front door and welcome the riders into Longtown. We hope to welcome you too in the coming 12 months and celebrate cycling. It's not just racing, it is commuting, family time, lifestyle and leisure, gravel and trails. Cycling is for everyone, not just for the elite. Our team will do their utmost to make sure this opportunity will be utilised to get more and more people on a bicycle.
