It has been an absolute dream of a 2026 season for Lutonian Cricket Club. We are so proud of all our teams for dominating the Bedfordshire

HISTORY MADE! ECB U11 Girls County Champions 2026 🏆

What an unforgettable day for Lutonian Cricket Club as our Girls U11 team were crowned ECB County Champions in their very first season! 💙

The girls defeated Eversholt CC to complete a remarkable debut campaign.

🏏 Lutonian CC: 86/5 (16 overs)
🏏 Eversholt CC: 65/7 (16 overs)
🏆 Winners by 31 net runs

To make the occasion even more special, England cricket legend Sir Alastair Cook officiated the final and presented the trophies and medals to our young champions.

To win the county title in their inaugural season is a testament to the hard work, dedication and passion of our players, coaches, volunteers and supportive families.

This is just the beginning for girls’ cricket at Lutonian CC. The future is incredibly bright!

Match Report – Lutonian CC vs MCC

A tough day against MCC, but plenty of positives to take from the game.

Asfand gave us the perfect start, picking up two wickets in his opening spell and putting the opposition under early pressure. Well bowled, Umer, and great spells from Zaim, Manan, and Hamza, who all bowled with discipline, hit the right areas, and consistently challenged the batsmen.

We’re a young team, and while there were lots of encouraging signs, our fielding is still an area we need to improve. That’s something we’ll continue to work on together.

With the bat, we got off to an excellent start thanks to Raif and the young Malik, who both batted really well. We then lost a few wickets in quick succession, which put us on the back foot. Zaid F was unlucky to fall to a very good delivery, while Adeel showed glimpses of the quality and potential he has.

In the end, we were bowled out for 129 while chasing 295. It wasn’t the result we wanted, but there was a great team effort throughout, and I hope everyone enjoyed the experience.

The series now stands at 3–2 in favour of MCC.

The annual fixture has now been led by Haroon Haq for the fifth consecutive year, continuing his commitment to providing young cricketers from Luton with the opportunity to showcase their talent and gain valuable experience against MCC.

For Lutonian CC, this fixture is about much more than the result. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our young players to experience this occasion, test themselves against quality opposition, and continue their development.

It’s been an absolute pleasure leading this team for the fifth year in a row. I’m proud of the effort and commitment shown by everyone involved. We’ll regroup, work hard, and come back next year aiming to level the series at 3–3.”

Lutonian U15s Reach Cup Semi-Finals!

Lutonian CC Under 15s booked their place in the cup semi-finals with an impressive 38-run victory over Dunstable Town CC in a low-scoring quarter-final.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Lutonian posted 94/8 from their 20 overs. Defending a modest total, the bowlers produced an outstanding display, bowling Dunstable out for 56 in 16.5 overs.

The highlight of the match came from Ayaan Sumair, who delivered a sensational spell and claimed a hat-trick, turning the game firmly in Lutonian’s favour. His outstanding achievement helped seal a memorable victory and demonstrated the team’s fighting spirit in a pressure match.

A fantastic team performance with bat, ball, and in the field sees Lutonian U15s move one step closer to cup glory. Congratulations to all the players and coaches on a superb result!

Result: Lutonian CC U15s 94/8 (20 overs) beat Dunstable Town CC U15s 56 all out (16.5 overs) by 38 runs.
