💜Under 13 Sparrowhawks - U13 Sparrowhawks
The girls faced a very strong Myerscough team this morning and we thought they played some of their best football. There was better communication, fantastic passing, strong tackling and great determination all over the pitch. The girls were a constant threat and must have had around 20 shots but unfortunately the goal wouldn't come for us today.
PPOTM went to Hannah she played slightly deeper today but still kick-started so many plays when we turned defence into attack.
CPOTM went to Isla it was only her 4th game with the team and we thought she really led by example in the middle of the pitch showing immense drive and fight throughout.
💚Under 13 Merlins - Merlins got a long awaited win today at BRN against Exhall. A hat trick from coaches player Leilah and a goal from Ella gave us a 4-2 lead. All the girls put excellent performances in with some brilliant shots from Freya and Ada that were denied by some excellent goalkeeping and the post. Our defenders had to run their socks off to keep us in the lead and the midfield worked hard up and down the pitch. A special mention to Vada who did brilliantly in her 1st match for the Merlins.
💛Under 14 Yellows - U14 Yellows played against Clifton today in what was another very exciting and great game to be involved in. From the first whistle we could tell the team were up for it today. Everyone played fantastic, giving everything they had and ran out very worthy 4-1 winners with 2 goals from Riley, 1 for Angel and 1 for Elliott. Parents player went to Charlie who was immense in defence today with nothing getting past him. Players player went to Riley who had another fantastic game and is getting better every week. Coaches player went to Jayden who was a rock today and had his best game for a while, battling away for everything. Massive thank you to J.King Groundworks & Landscapes for the sponsorship of the teams new kits, they looked smart wearing them for the first time today. We also showed our support and appreciation today for a very worth charity, thumbs up for Charlie. We did a minutes applause before the game which both teams did impeccably and we have the charity logo on the sleeve of the new kit. Thumbs up for Charlie is a very important charity who are very close to the teams hearts and we will be doing our very best this season as team to raise as much money as possible for them, any donations to the charity will be kindly and greatly received.
💎Under 14 Diamonds - U14 Diamonds v Wyre Juniors - Game of 2 halves. 5-0 down at half time but created loads of chances in the 2nd and won the half. Final score, 5-2 to Wyre
💜Under 17 Kestrels - U17 Kestrels earned a hard fought share of the points in an enthralling 5-5 draw against Euxton Ladies U18s. Kestrels took an early 2 goal lead with Scarlett applying strong pressure to find the back of the net twice. Approaching half time Euxton had drawn back level before Daisy pounced on a rebound to restore the lead at the break.
Euxton came back strong in the second half, twice taking the lead but Kestrels responded on both occasions with Emma hitting 2 wonder strikes with the second beating the keeper from 40 yards out.
Kestrels keeper Ava pulled off some excellent saves.
Darcey,Daisy and Ella all superb in the middle.
Maisie at left back faced a tough winger but was up for the challenge.
Coaches POM was Ella for an all action display with a huge work rate in midfield.
Parents POM was Natalie who was outstanding and assured throughout, making some vital last ditch tackles to deny Euxton goalscoring opportunities.
In summary, a fair result and a great attitude and game from both sets of players.

Another cracking Sunday morning of football with lots of goals, lots of improvements and lots of commitments to the teams, parents and coaches.

💜Under 9 Herons - Herons made the journey away to Longridge for today's match and all played well in a physical end to end game, in which we had the whole squad in attendance for the first time this season!
Charlotte stepped up to play in goal where she was kept busy, but did well. Draya and Isla both had a stint in defence, making crucial tackles and clearing the ball well. Ariana, Orla and Harlie worked hard in midfield, whilst Talya was determined in attack and finished well to get a goal ⚽
Parents player of the match went to Sofia on her debut with the team and playing in her first ever football match. She showed great determination and was unlucky not to score.
Coaches player of the match went to Millie who worked hard on the wing, tracking back really well.
Well done Herons!
💚Under 10 Ravens - Bispham Juniors Predetars U10,s v St Annes Ravens U10,s
We went with the same formation as last as week.
Started the game really well, then the home team changed there formation which made them create more chances. We changed into a new formation just after half time which saw us create more chances the girls worked really hard to get a goal and they managed to do that.
The girls represented themselves really well and they had some great comments from the home coaches on there skills and attitude.
Coaches player- Marla
Parents player- Marley
💜Under 11 Eagles - The Eagles took on Walton Le Dale at home this morning, all girls came out strong and putting in the effort and showing their continued development. Every match they get stronger and more confident.

💚Under 13 Greens - 💚💜⚽️ St Anne’s Greens U13s 3–0 Poulton Town Pumas
In fantastic footballing conditions, the Greens travelled to Unity Academy looking to continue their unbeaten run.
A lively start saw the Greens create plenty of chances, with Josh unfortunate not to open the scoring when his effort appeared to cross the line before hitting the net support. Despite some great football, it remained 0–0 at half-time.
The lads were told to keep working and the goals would come — and they did! A long ball from Louie found the ever-dangerous OJ, who produced a brilliant finish to break the deadlock. OJ soon struck again to double the lead before Josh added a third to seal a 3–0 win.
Another strong team performance despite illness and injuries.
🏆 Parents’ POTM: Tassi — excellent at left-back and in midfield.
🏆 Coaches’ POTM: OJ — two goals and a constant threat.
Big game next week. Well done, Greens! 💚💜⚽️

💚Under 8 Magpies - SAINT ANNE’S DERBY!
Today we faced Saint Anne’s Hammers in the local derby, and the team put in a brilliant shift! 👏⚽️
The first half saw some great football and plenty of determination. In the second half, everything started to click and we played the football we know we’re capable of!
🧤 Kian was class in net! Sharp off his line, some huge saves and his kicking was absolutely on point.
🛡️ Louis was an absolute rock at the back, strong in the tackle, playing lovely passes and even adding a cracking volley goal!
⚽ Joe, Joey, Cruz and Emmett linked up brilliantly and played some fantastic football.
🔥 Sofìa worked her socks off upfront, while Josh was right up for the derby, winning tackles and playing some brilliant passes!
🏆 POM – Louis
🏆 Parents’ POM – Emmett
⚽ GOALS: Josh, Joey, Joe & Louis.
Super proud of every single one of them today!
UP THE MAGS! 💚💜
💜Under 8 Gunners - What a game this morning against Polish FC! ⚽ A standout team performance from everyone, played at a great pace with lots of goals, strong tackles and brilliant effort all over the pitch.
Ollie and Oliver both got themselves on the scoresheet, while Hugo and Oliver worked really well together up front. Ray was excellent in midfield and seemed to be involved in everything, with Armaan covering so much ground and putting in tackle after tackle.
At the back, Trevor was strong and dependable, while Archie put in a really solid defensive performance throughout.
🏆 Coaches’ Player of the Match — Archie
👏 Parents’ Player of the Match — Ollie
💚Under 9 Cobras - Another home game today for the Cobras against Wyre Whites who we’ve had some good game with in the past. We also had a full squad for the first time this season with everyone available.
The first half was tightly contested with both teams enjoying their football and scoring some good goals. Theo and Lochlan both got on the score sheet with Seamus providing an assist for the first and Lochlan the other. We finished the half on top, playing some great stuff and Theo crossing for the ball to be turned in by their defender.
Second half we lost our way a little and Wyre scored few goals with Daniel being left to do his best to keep the ball out. Benji put in his usual shift alongside Ronnie in midfield. Reubs was solid in defence with Seamus and Emi was unlucky to not to score a couple. Jack won a penalty towards the end but the keeper made a strong save to keep it out. The heads didn’t drop and the team kept smiling. 🐍

Parents player - Lochlan
🖤Under 11 Blacks - It was a beautiful morning for watching football with the sun shining at BRN for our match against close rivals YMCA Blacks.
We had changes to keepers who were solid in goal, keeping the YMCA goal attempts at bay whilst the rest of the team worked hard on defence and staying mobile with the ball. The half time result didn't reflect the effort and energy we brought in the first half.
Despite continued pressure, we continued to work hard throughout the match with some great passing and moving into space which resulted in lots of shots on goal and some great eventual goals from Chas. Come on the Blacks! ⚽

💜Under 13 Sparrowhawks - U13 Sparrowhawks
The girls debuted their new home kit this morning and what a performance it was against a strong Longridge team. Some fantastic goals, determined runs and excellent defending gave us a 6-1 win in another superb team effort. It is great to see the goals being shared throughout the team.
CPOTM went to Erica she was excellent from minute one and worked so hard up and down the pitch and deserved her goal.
PPOTM went to Aaliyah who again was an absolute rock in defence and her strength and decision making in 1:1 situations was excellent.
A big thank you from all the girls to Breck Homes for sponsoring the new kit.
💎 Under 14 Diamonds - U14 Diamonds won 3-2 away at Thornton after a thrilling comeback from 2-0 down. A great performance all round.
Highlight of the day was having a new assistant on the sideline, Nat, who’s currently out injured!
💚Under 17 Kestrels - U17 Kestrels kept up their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-0 win over Fleetwood.
Although not quite as fluid in their passing as normal, there was no absence of the usual effort and enthusiasm from the girls.
Defensively we were solid with Maisie coping well with a tricky winger and Isla calm and assured at centre back.Tess made an outstanding interception just when it looked like Fleetwood were clean through. Keeper Ava was confident throughout and showed good game management.
In the midfield Ella,Daisy and Darcey provided constant energy.
The excellent partnership upfront continued with Scarlett bagging another hat trick and another 3 assists for Emma.
Coaches Player of the Match was Ella for a tough, gritty performance backed up with a wonderful range of passing. This was echoed by the parents who also voted Ella Player of the Match.
Credit to Fleetwood coaches and players for an excellent attitude and a spirited performance.

Ariana played fantastically all over the pitch, never giving up and being rewarded with a brilliant goal ⚽️. Millie and Draya worked hard tracking back and putting pressure on the opposition whilst Harlie made some great attacking runs, looking dangerous in front of goal.

💜Under 10 Ravens - Ravens under 10s vs CN Jaguars
A change in formation from previous games saw us go to a more attacking style of play which resulted in the Ravens getting more chances and taking the lead with a brilliant go by Evie. Our new girls this year are getting better and more confident which is great to see. had a great game showing more confidence.
