Welcome to Tytherington FC

Est. 1987 | 38 Years of Grassroots Football | 60 Teams | 650 Players

Tytherington FC is a thriving, community-based, self-funded grassroots football club – run entirely by volunteers and proudly established in 1987. Now in our 38th year, we’ve grown into one of the most inclusive and dynamic grassroots clubs in the North West. With over 50 teams and around 650 players, we offer football for all – from Under 6s to Open Age, across mixed, girls, and adult teams, competing in some of the region’s top grassroots leagues. We are proudly England Football Accredited (Two-Star) – a recognition of our commitment to high standards, inclusivity, and player development. A New Era: Tytherington FC CIO

In 2025, we took a major step forward by becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) – ensuring the long-term sustainability, governance, and community impact of our club. This structure gives us a stronger platform to:

Protect our assets and investments for the benefit of the community
Access funding and grants that support grassroots football, inclusion, and wellbeing
Deliver wider community programmes focused on physical and mental health, education, volunteering, and inclusion
Create a football club that’s more than football – one that brings people together, changes lives, and gives back
We’re still run by volunteers. The Riverside Park Vision

We are currently leading an ambitious project to develop Riverside Park Playing Fields – the new long-term home for Tytherington FC. This site will become a community football hub that reflects our values and meets the growing needs of our club, our players, and our town. Our goals for Riverside Park include:

Safe, high-quality grass pitches and training areas
A dedicated clubhouse and community facility
Accessible, inclusive spaces for all ages and abilities
Sustainable infrastructure with long-term environmental and operational planning
A home we can be proud of – not just for football, but for the community

We’ve already secured funding to kick-start the project, including grants and contributions from the club itself, and are actively seeking partnerships and support to make this dream a reality. We are proud members of the following leagues:

Mid-Cheshire Youth Football League
Stockport Girls League
Manchester Youth Super League (MYSL)
East Manchester Junior Football League
Stockport Metro JFL
Junior Premier League (JPL)
Timperley & District League
Crewe & District League (new)
South Manchester Girls Football League (SMGFL)
East Cheshire Sunday Football League (ECSFL)

Player Pathways for All

We offer a full player pathway for boys and girls from our Grassroots Academy, Soccer School, and Wildcats Centre, right through to our Open Age Saturday and Sunday teams – ensuring players can grow, develop and stay in the game at every stage. All teams are led by fully qualified, DBS-checked coaches and managers who volunteer their time and passion to the club. TythyFives – Our Iconic Annual Festival

Each year, we host the TythyFives Football Festival – a standout grassroots tournament that welcomes teams from across the North West for a day of fast-paced, fun-filled 5-a-side action. It’s quickly become a must-attend event on the grassroots calendar. Club Colours

⚽ FULL TIME: Vale Juniors Congleton Mambas 3-2 TFC AFC U13 ⚽

A tough away trip that swung back and forth throughout. 💗

Vale Juniors struck early, but Charlie levelled things up on 25 minutes with a well-taken finish after good work from Conrad Bangura. The hosts edged back in front in the second half, but Conrad kept his composure from the penalty spot to make it 3-2 and set up a tense finish. Vale Juniors held on for the win, but the fight shown to twice come from behind was a real positive.

🧤 Ray Bourne — another busy afternoon, 9 saves across the full 60 minutes

🌟 Player of the Match: Josh – solid and reliable at the back, a constant presence all game 💪

Tough result on the road, but heads up — we go again next week. 👏

U10s Elites Match Report 🔥

What a response from the boys today – without a doubt the comeback of the season so far!

After a tough game last week, the team showed exactly what they’re made of with a performance full of character, resilience and determination.

The biggest positive to take away from today’s game was the fight and desire to keep going. Even after going 2-1 down in the first half, not one head dropped. The belief stayed strong, and every player kept battling for each other until the very last kick of the game.

The first half was brilliant from both sides. It was end-to-end football with both goalkeepers producing world-class saves to keep their teams in it. We were unlucky not to go into the break level or even ahead after striking the woodwork several times following some excellent play. The midfield linked brilliantly with the forwards, creating plenty of chances, while the defence held a strong line and supported every attack.

Arlo got us right back into the game after winning a penalty, which he calmly tucked into the corner with great composure.

The second half saw the boys come out with even more desire. They wanted more goals, more tackles and more of the ball. Defensively, they were solid winning challenges, putting their bodies on the line and protecting the goal at all costs. Whenever the opposition did manage to get a shot away, Josh was there to make crucial, game-changing saves, including a fantastic stretched toe save that kept us right in the contest.

The midfield worked tirelessly, helping out defensively while also driving the team forward at every opportunity. Up front, the forwards pressed brilliantly, played some excellent one-twos and found vital pockets of space to keep the pressure on.

Then came a moment of magic ✨ Leo won a free-kick in an area where everyone was wondering if it was just a bit too far out. He stepped up, struck it beautifully and watched it fly into the top corner - an outstanding goal to bring the game level and lift the whole team. 🤍

The momentum was with us. Soon after, a dangerous ball was whipped into the box and Arlo timed his run perfectly, chesting the ball into the back of the net to put us ahead.

Credit to the opposition, who responded quickly and caught us off guard to level things once again. But this team wasn’t finished. With the very last play of the game, the boys produced another brilliantly worked team move, and the ball found the back of the net to complete an incredible comeback.

⭐️ Player of the Match: Josh. An outstanding performance between the sticks. While you might feel disappointed not to have kept a clean sheet, your saves today were absolutely vital. That incredible stretched toe save, along with several other brilliant stops, kept us in the game and gave the team the platform to complete the comeback. A thoroughly deserved Player of the Match! Well done 👏

A fantastic team performance from start to finish. The effort, teamwork, resilience and never-give-up attitude shown today should make everyone proud. Well done, boys!

Another Tough Test, But the Tytherington Rovers Spirit Keeps Shining!

Our first game after the reseeding ended in another defeat, but the performance deserved plenty of credit. The U8s never gave up, competed until the final whistle and showed fantastic determination throughout.

The game was evenly matched for long spells. Most of the goals we conceded came from quick finishes or lapses in concentration, but the team kept battling and scored three excellent goals of our own.

Player Performances

Tom made another string of excellent saves and distributed the ball brilliantly, creating chances with his quick goal kicks.

Miles showed fantastic footwork, driving forward with confidence, beating defenders and scoring a superb goal—his second of the season.

Eti was outstanding, scoring two brilliant goals. His second was a fantastic solo effort, showing pace, skill and composure.

Nico was solid in defence, supported attacks well and created chances, including the assist for our opening goal.

Zoya delivered dangerous set pieces, had a few efforts on goal and provided a brilliant assist for Miles.

Zavier worked tirelessly in midfield and defence, breaking up play and battling throughout.

George was dependable at the back and on the wing, always looking to pick out a pass into dangerous areas.

Goals
⚽️ Eti (Nico assist)
⚽️ Miles (Zoya assist)
⚽️ Eti

Players’ Player of the Match: 🏆 Eti
Two goals, endless energy and brilliant individual skill made him a deserved winner.

Coaches’ Player of the Match: 🏆 Miles
His confidence, dribbling and attacking play caused the opposition problems all game, topped off with a great goal.

Like last week, we faced a team that’s been together much longer, but we showed some excellent passages of play and plenty of quality. If we keep showing this effort, determination and team spirit, that first win will come.

A huge thank you to all the parents for the fantastic support despite the early start. The results will come, but the smiles, effort and togetherness are already there.

Well done, Tytherington Rovers U8s! 💙⚽

03/10/2026

Another fantastic performance from our Under-10s 1987s this morning in Stockport Metro. The boys continue their unbeaten run this season, and today showed exactly why. ⚽🔥

It was a very competitive and physical game, with plenty of end-to-end football. The boys showed great resilience, battled hard, and kept applying pressure when needed. With boys strong in defence, and the midfield finding those important passes between the lines, the rewards eventually came.

The first goal was a brilliant, starting right from the back. Noah picked the ball up and drove down the right wing, taking on every man that came his way before whipping the ball across the box. With Hugo causing a distraction, the ball found its way into the back of the net. A fantastic goal built from defence to attack. 👏

The second came from a well-worked set piece straight from the training ground. After earning a kick-in, Arlo reacted quickly, took it fast, and absolutely smashed it into the top-right corner. A superb finish! 🚀

The boys created plenty of chances throughout the game, hitting the woodwork several times, while Josh was once again outstanding when called upon, making some fantastic saves and showing brilliant safe hands.

Just before the final whistle, the boys finished with another great attacking move. A brilliant ball over the top from Josh found Hugo, who controlled the bounce perfectly and battled to keep possession. With Zak supporting the attack, Hugo delivered the cross and Zak calmly slotted the ball home. ⚽👏

🏆 Man of the Match: Hugo
A sensational performance from start to finish. His work rate was exceptional, he held his position brilliantly, never stopped fighting for the ball, and played a huge part in two goals today. A thoroughly deserved award. 💪💯

Another brilliant team performance, boys. The hard work, teamwork, and determination continue to shine through. Keep pushing forward! ⚽🔥

Match report - 03.10.2026

FC Bluestars U15 Stars v U15 TFC Wildcats

Unlucky result today as by far we were the better team in the first half which ended 1-1.

Full team effort and some lovely moments and skill played by all the girls. Still some tweaking and refining to be done but we’re working on it. Bella scored both goals today and there were plenty more attempts made but the end result was a 7-2 loss to us.

Tasha awarded Emily today with coaches player for her interceptions and some essential passes in defence. Well done Emily! 👍

Cole’s went to Amaya who as always plays her heart out and literally leaps into action throughout the match! 🔥

It was a unanimous decision for parents player, as Bella was one goal away from a Wingstop 🍗hat trick award today. Great ⚽️⚽️, keep at it Bella!

Today’s thanks goes to our opponents and the ref, our coaches Tasha and Cole and always the sideline crew for their ongoing support!

Back stronger 💪

Match Report: U12s Titans

What a performance this morning from the whole team in a derby game, coming away as 7-3 winners! ⚽️🔥

From the back, Harry pulled off some outstanding saves to keep us in control. In defence, Jacob, Joe, Alex, and Callum were immense, winning their battles against a tough opposition.

In midfield, Brodie was outstanding, grabbing a hat-trick, while Damien won every tackle and added a goal of his own. Out wide, Kai and Alfie worked tirelessly, running up and down the wings all game. Up front, Roman was unstoppable, beating the defence to every ball and scoring two great goals.

This was a fantastic team performance from start to finish. I’m so proud of every single one of them—they never give up and always fight for each other. That’s 5 wins out of 5! 💪💯⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

🏆 First Man of the Match: Alex – Outstanding in defence, never stopped working against a strong team, and even got himself a goal. So proud! 💪⚽️💯

🏆 Second Man of the Match: Brodie – Dominated the midfield, won every battle, and topped it off with a brilliant hat-trick. Outstanding performance! 💪💯⚽️⚽️⚽️

Well done, boys! Keep working hard and enjoying your football! 🔥⚽️👏
