Transformation that lasts, with a blast from the past. Helping men transform their body from decent to damn impressive.

I don’t do well with failure so this should have hit me pretty hard but it actually helped me to relax.

I’ve been fighting against the challenges by getting up earlier and earlier, cutting calories in and around social events etc and it’s been stressful.

Doing this alongside the things competing for my time, energy and attention has drained me and affected my mood, sleep and energy levels.

Getting ultra lean, starting a new business and keeping the others going is pretty intense.

I’m still going to give the next 2.5 weeks my all, BUT I’ll be making sure I don’t try and give it more than I have available.

There’s no such thing as failure. You either win or you learn.

I had no idea who I was, who I wanted to be, or how to become that person. But I knew one thing……

That I wanted to marry this amazing woman, have kids and grow old together.

That was 16 years ago and it’s been greater than I could’ve imagined.

She’s put up with me, encouraged me and supported me at times I haven’t deserved it.

I will never accept getting ‘old’ as such, but the passing of time gives me more opportunities to live in the bliss I feel when we’re together.

I’m looking forward to many more years and adventures together.

Confession time. I’ve let my workload, stress and self doubt get in the way of my important actions.

We’re all human and sometimes our thoughts and feelings get the better of us and kick all logical thought in the dick.

So here I am resetting, going again and refusing to give up.

I did NOT expect that to happen.

It’s been 7 long months since I met up with and all we had planned was to discuss how to improve each others coaching.

Before the morning was done we were buzzed off our t**s on caffeine and excitement .

Seemingly out of nowhere, just by chatting, sharing experiences, reminiscing and bouncing off each other, we came up the ‘MIDLIFE COMEBACK CLUB’.

24 hours later and the excitement won’t subside, I can see the vision so clearly.

We are going to build the best community for midlifers who have been kicked in the dick by life and let things slide and are now ready to fight back and make a comeback worthy of an 80’s action movie.

This day showed me just how much is possible when you surround yourself with the right people, which is exactly what the MCC is going to revolve around.

If you want to be part of the beta test (which will cost you NOTHING btw), ping me a DM.

FFS - PT’s (Personal Trainers) are utter dog sh*te who have no clue how to speak to people or how to actually HELP real grown ups.

All these 20 something PT’s seem absolutely incapable of imagining a universe in which the gym and meal prep isn’t someones main focus and every thought as soon as they open their eyes.

Telling someone with a full time job, a house to clean, kids to drive around the place and endless life admin to ‘meal prep more, get up earlier and put workouts in the diary’ might seem like obvious advice but it’s absolutely f*ckin’ useless in reality.

PT’s should talk less and listen more when dealing with clients.

No one cares about your knowledge, they care whether you can help them or not and unless you listen and, more specifically, listen to UNDERSTAND then you have no chance.

If you’re struggling to improve your food, lose a few pounds, not be out of breath just by getting dressed then I’d advise you to think about WHY that is , not go looking for any more HOW solutions.

If you want help working out why you can’t seem to get your sh*t together, don’t go to the broccoli topped bicep teenager at the gym for help.

Speak to an old man who has been there, done that and is still learning every day how to help himself and his clients more.

Your life would be so much better in every way if you laughed more, ya grumpy sod.

This may not seem fitness or health related but I guarantee that being a sad, moody f*cker isn’t helping you make the best choices, is it? I know because I’ve been there.

See your mates more, watch more inappropriate comedy, take the p*ss out of your friends and let them to do it back.

Life can be serious enough as it is so releasing the pressure valve is what’s missing a lot of the time.

Besides, is there a more British way to deal with adversity than laugh at it?

Someone help me!

Is this a win win scenario for me or a lose lose scenario?

I should point out I’m half English half Norwegian.

Other things I hadn’t considered…

Norway have a much nicer kit
England can be quite scummy
Norway are a lesser team on paper
I do like living here most of the time

Let me know your thoughts 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

Does the thought of waxing, fake tanning and oiling up for a photo shoot make you run for the hills? Me too.

I’ve been posting my half naked body on my Instagram for some time now but I do feel like a right tit. But I do it to show people what I’m up to, how I’m doing it and how they could do it too.

I’d draw the line at a bodybuilding show or a photoshoot though. All that posing is not for me. I’d absolutely hate it but that’s not a reason to give up on pushing my physique as far as I can.

Getting older shouldn’t mean giving up. It should be about using all your life experience to become the best version of yourself.

None of my client have aspirations to step on the bodybuilding stage or do a photoshoot but I can get them into good enough shape to be able to do it with the utmost confidence.

My coaching is for what I affectionately call ‘normal people’ who want to live life, enjoy the odd beer and don’t want to take food in Tupperware to social events.

Looking and feeling the best you ever have done is about confidence by the beach and in the bedroom, not wearing a pair of speedos and doing ballet routines in front of other men.

Losing weight and building muscle is stupidly simple.

Eat less, move more, lift heavy things.

The problem is that simple and easy are two very different things and what’s simple for one person isn’t simple for another. Equally what’s easy for one person feels overwhelmingly impossible for another.

I’ve been really working hard on developing my skills as a coach as I want to understand people better and help them to understand themselves as that’s the root of all transformation.

I like to think I’m humble enough to know I could always be a better coach but I am so committed to doing it.

I never want to be an ‘eat less, move more’ kind of coach, or the ‘you’re just not trying hard enough’.

What’s important to me is why you find it difficult, how you feel about it, how can we work together to fix it.

I see myself as your business partner and your team mate, not your boss or your school teacher.

The world is full of arrogant coaches who make a small fortune by making a lot of noise and deliver f*ck all.

If you’ve ever caught yourself saying things like ‘I know what to do, I just can’t seem to do it’ then I’m pretty sure I can point you in the right direction.

Instagram can be a cesspit but I’m just trying to look after the good, every day people who don’t want to get old before their time and want to look buff without having to step on stage or do a photoshoot.

I’ll keep trying my best and invite you to do the same.

If you need me, you know where I am.

The reason you’re struggling is because you vaguely know WHAT to do but can’t figure out HOW to do it. Or more specifically, WHY you’re not doing it already.

The gap between knowing it and doing it is the reason you’ve been stuck for so long.

Despite that, there are still thousands of coaches on here telling you to ‘move more, eat less’ and charging hundreds of pounds per month for that absolute bomb of wisdom.

If you’re struggling right now, I’d invite you to take a step back and ask yourself WHY and what you can do about it.

I am always here to have a chat with anyone that needs help without any pressure or obligation to sign up to my amazing Project X 1:1 online coaching 😎

If we’ve never spoken, hit the DM button and fire away.
