Footy for Tots provides FUN football sessions for children aged 18mths – 7 years. We provide a fun and safe environment for children to begin their love for football while developing key movement and social skills along the way. We run sessions at 4 different age groups, this allows your child to get the best possible experience while having lots of fun with friends of a similar age. Your child will enjoy using their imagination throughout the weeks and experiencing the joys of being a pirate, their favourite superhero and many more! Our primary aim at Footy for Tots is to make sure that every child that attends our sessions have lots of fun!

Before we expect children to perform a football skill, we break it down and build the movements that make it possible.

Simple actions.
Clear demonstrations.
Lots of repetition.

As those movements become more natural, the skill starts to become smoother too.

We’re not looking for perfection. We’re giving children the foundations they need to become more confident and comfortable on the ball.

At this age, the detail matters.

Show them. Let them try it. Help them understand it. Then give them the freedom to put it into practice.

That’s a big part of how we coach at Footy 3s.

We keep the information simple, demonstrate what we’re looking for and give the players plenty of opportunities to actually do it themselves.

There will be mistakes. There will be moments where it doesn’t quite work.

That’s part of learning.

Our job isn’t to control every action. It’s to give young players the tools, confidence and environment to start solving problems for themselves.

We’re delighted to announce a brand-new partnership with Larkfield & New Hythe FC, with Footy for Tots taking on the delivery of the club’s Little Larks programme.

The club have chosen to bring our Footy 3s programme to Little Larks, giving their youngest players a development-focused introduction to football before progressing into grassroots team football at U7.

As part of the partnership, Reception and Year 1 players will now have their own dedicated, age-specific sessions.

Both groups will follow our Footy 3s programme, with a big emphasis on more time on the ball, more 1v1s, more decision-making, creativity, confidence and plenty of 3v3 football.

The Little Larks pathway remains:

⚽ Reception → Year 1 → Larkfield & New Hythe FC U7s

Our job is to strengthen those first steps and help prepare each player for their next stage with the club.

𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹?

At this age, children don’t need to stand in lines or repeat the same drill over and over again.

They need lots of time with a ball at their feet, learning through games that keep them moving, thinking and having fun.

That’s exactly what we build into our Big Boots sessions.

Through simple, themed games, children learn to:

• Use little kicks to keep the ball close
• Squash the ball to stop and stay in control
• Find space away from other players
• Dribble confidently through busy areas

To them, it feels like they’re playing a game.

But underneath the fun, they’re developing real ball control, awareness and confidence with a football.

Those early touches matter.

They’re the foundations that help children become more comfortable, confident and capable on the ball as they grow.

We were delighted to get our brand new BJF Group Air Pitch out for the first time this morning as part of our footy3s programme.

Our AirPitches are a huge part of where we want to take Footy 3s. They give our young players a proper 3v3 environment where they can get more touches of the ball, face more 1v1 situations, make more decisions and, most importantly, spend more time actually playing football.

None of this happens without the support of local businesses who believe in what we’re trying to build.

A huge thank you to BJF Group for sponsoring one of our new pitches and helping us create an even better football experience for our players.

It was brilliant seeing it full of children playing this morning, and we’re looking forward to seeing thousands more games played inside it over the coming years.

And sometimes your toddler decides it would be much more fun to kick the skittles over themselves. 😅

And that’s exactly why our sessions are designed for toddlers.

At this age, football doesn’t need to look perfect.

It’s about giving them the freedom to move, explore, build confidence and learn through play.

Some days they chase the ball.
Some days they completely redesign the game we had planned. 😂

After a brilliant summer break, a brand-new term of Footy for Tots begins.

For some little footballers, it’s a return to something they already love. For others, it’ll be their very first time stepping into the hall.

Either way, every journey starts somewhere.

We can’t wait to see familiar faces, welcome plenty of new ones and watch our little footballers learn, grow in confidence and have lots of fun along the way.
