Race 3 of the Maldon 5k Handicap Series is complete, marking the halfway point of the 2026 series. Results are now available on the TRR website: https://www.tiptreeroadrunners.com/maldon5k/results/

For the first time this season, the Male and Female League Tables are now available, showing the standings as we reach the midpoint of the series. To qualify for the overall Male or Female winner trophies, runners must score in at least four races.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the event possible. Your support and encouragement are a huge part of what makes the Maldon 5k such a fun and friendly evening.

Thanks again to everyone involved - whether you ran, volunteered, or supported.

See you at Race 4 on Thursday 25 June 2026.

A quick reminder that Race 3 of the Maldon 5k Handicap Series takes place Thursday evening.

On Sunday, all registered participants were emailed their updated Race 3 handicap time. Please check your inbox (and junk folder, just in case) if you haven’t seen it.

If you haven’t received the email, spot an issue with your handicap, or know that you won’t be attending (and haven’t already let me know), please get in touch as soon as possible so I can update the start list. I won’t be able to make any handicap changes within 24 hours of the race.

You may notice some changes in the park tomorrow due to setup work for the concerts later in the week. There is no impact on our course, but Race HQ will be in a different location this week, on the grass area where finishers are scanned after the race.

Finally, don’t forget your race number.

Looking forward to another great evening of racing.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the event possible. Your support, encouragement, and work behind the scenes are a huge part of what makes the Maldon 5k such a fun and friendly evening.

It was great to see runners of all abilities out there once again, with plenty of support and encouragement all around the course.

Thanks again to everyone involved - whether you ran, volunteered, or supported.

I was loving the rather dramatic lighting that the Sun, hanging low in the sky, was creating for Race 2. Here are a handful that I took on my beat up old iPhone. Photos from my Canon to follow shortly.
Be sure to check back soon! ~Len~

This is what the Maldon 5k is all about (sound on!)

Another brilliant atmosphere tonight, with members of Tiptree Road Runners out in force encouraging everyone all the way to the finish line. It genuinely makes a difference when you’re digging deep over those final few hundred metres.

Huge congratulations to everyone who took part this evening, and thank you to all the volunteers and supporters who helped make Race 2 such a great night.

Results will be shared tomorrow (Friday).
