Alhumdulliah, another well deserved win, lads! Final score: 6–1. We’re really proud of our boys.

The first half was a little sloppy at times. We were walking instead of showing the passion, tackling team mates, and lack of energy we know you have. But there were plenty of positives, and what a second half! You chased the game, worked brilliantly together and scored three or four quick goals. The link-up play was excellent, and we saw some fantastic headers too. It was beautiful to watch.

A special well done to Mikki, who scored a well-deserved hat-trick. The other goals came from Ahad, Hadis and Adiy.

Zayn’s save was outstanding, keep it up, and let’s hear your voice more on the pitch! Every one of you deserved to be Man of the Match, but the coaches have chosen Hadis. Well done!

There are a few things from today that we’ll work on at Tuesday’s training, including staying engaged, chasing the ball, being more physical and keeping our shape. But above all, you were brilliant and fully deserved the win.

Keep the momentum going, keep supporting one another and keep playing as one team. Really well done, lads we’re very proud of you!

MOTM went to Hadis. An absolute beast today winning every head and tackle that was within his territory. Attacked and defended very well too. Well done Hadis

What a performance this morning. From the off we were ready to fight and win today which was a pleasant sight!!

Far too many weeks we have been slow to start so really good today. Spoke to the players about wining individual battles first and foremost and then if we can do more then that’s the difference between elite players and normal players. I thought they took this onboard and they sure won their individual battles. We were stronger, faster and hungrier than the opposition today hence the convincing score line. Some really strong performances today but Man of the Match went to a player that did his role to a tee. He played on the wing this week and told him his job was to get down the wing and get that ball into the box. That’s exactly what he did again and again. The icing on the cake was he got on the score sheet too so fantastic performance today. Well done Symeon. Totally and utterly well deserved.

Match Report

Westwood Wanderers 2 - 1 Moston Brook

First of all, what a win. Worked hard throughout the whole game and we deserved the 3 points!

First thing I said to the lads was we don’t want to start how we did last week, the start needs to change so we went full press in the first 10/15 minutes and then see how the game is the rest of the game. The first 10/15 minutes was very good, it was 0-0 but the oppositions knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game for them. I know the lads can play and play good football but there’s more to it than football, win our physical duels and second balls and having a presence on the pitch which they showed through out the whole game.

Second half, we were winning our battles and duels so we decided to change up a little bit and play football, 1-2 passes, switching possession. We had a few good passage of plays but still need to work on looking up and finding the better options. I gave Ayaan MOTM (it could’ve been all of the players) only because he put in a big big shift in midfield and then put in a shift in striker too. For all his hard work, he got a tap in to make it 1-0. From then, we knew we’re going to get pressured and we did but we dealt with it. The second goal came from Leighton who scored a header with his eyes closed😂
Doesn’t matter how you score, we needed it.

I nearly gave MOTM to Kai at the end where he lost concentration and left his man but he ran back and blocked that shot towards goal. From my angle, that shot was going on target.

Overall, everyone gave it a shift! We deserved our win. They are the performances we like to be proud of. Couple players who I’m not gonna mention wanted to come off because they needed a drink! We only ask to give it everything once a week!

Well done boys, rest up and we go again next week!

WW Mavericks 3 - 3 30FC Phoenix

1st game of the season and we played very well. For the game to finish at 3-3 is not a result we wanted but it’s a point and we go again next week. Some very positive football from the lads. We can see clearly where we need to be within individual players and they are very good but as a team they just need time to gel. The amount of times we have been outside their box and lack of communication nothing happened.

Adiy 2
Ahad 1

Mikki had a golden opportunity with an over head kick that just went wide. We had several opportunities but just couldn’t finish off. Pull the trigger and shoot and test the keeper.

MOTM went to two players

Zayd, his saves kept us in the game and few distributions gave us chances.

Isa - defended very well and used pace and aggression very well.
