🌾 FORAGE FACT FRIDAY

Why does fibre come first? 🐴

A horse’s digestive system is designed to process fibre, making good-quality forage an essential part of their diet.

🌱 Supports normal digestive function
🐴 Encourages natural chewing and grazing behaviour
🤎 Helps support a healthy gut
🌾 Provides the foundation of a balanced diet

Every horse is different, so forage requirements will depend on their individual needs, workload and overall diet.

🍀 Forage Fact Friday 🍀

Hay vs Haylage: What’s the difference? 🌾

Many people use the terms interchangeably, but they’re actually quite different.
Hay is dried naturally in the field, while haylage is baled with a higher moisture content and wrapped to preserve its quality.

Every horse is different, so the right forage depends on their age, workload and individual needs.
