📢 Cwmafan – Get Ready! ⚽🏆

Our Annual Margetson Football Festival returns on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd August at Parc-Y-Llyn.

We’ll be welcoming teams, players and supporters from across the region, making it a fantastic weekend of football and community spirit.

With hundreds of visitors expected, Cwmafan will be much busier than usual, with increased traffic and parking around the village throughout both days.

🚗 Please allow a little extra time for your journeys and, where possible, consider the additional traffic when travelling through the area.

Thank you in advance for your patience, understanding and support. We can’t wait to welcome everyone for another brilliant weekend of football!

💙 Let’s Show What the Cwmafan Community Is Made Of 💙

Many of you will know Ieuan Simpkins, who proudly plays for Cwmafan BGC seniors.

Right now, Ieuan and his family are facing a challenge no parent should ever have to endure. Their little daughter, Raya, is due to undergo heart surgery and needs constant care and supervision. As a result, Ieuan has had to stop working so he can be there for his family every hour of every day.

The emotional strain is unimaginable, and the financial pressure only adds to what is already an incredibly difficult time.

As a football club, we’re more than just teammates—we’re a family. When one of our own needs help, we come together.

If you’re able to spare even a few pounds, it would mean the world to Ieuan, Saran and little Raya. Every donation, no matter how small, helps ease the burden and allows them to focus on what really matters: Raya’s recovery.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing their fundraiser. Sometimes, a share can reach someone who can help.

⚽️🤝A Brilliant Morning at Minehead AFC 🤝⚽

A big thank you to everyone at Minehead AFC for welcoming our Mini Section and putting on such a well-organised morning of football whilst on tour.

It was fantastic to see all of our age groups catered for, giving every player the chance to get plenty of game time.

It was brilliant to see so many players and parents up bright and early, enjoying the beautiful game together. The smiles, teamwork and enthusiasm on display made it a great morning for everyone involved.

The kids enjoyed some cracking football… while the parents made sure they stayed well hydrated! 🍻😂

Thank you once again to everyone at Minehead AFC for your hospitality. We look forward to returning the favour in the future! 🤝⚽
