Alfie Continues to Shine on the World Stage π
It's been an unforgettable summer for Alfie (year 7), competing against some of the world's best junior golfers across the United States and proudly representing Wales on the international stage.
Alfie began his journey at the USwing Junior World Championship in San Diego before producing one of his strongest performances to date at the prestigious FCG Callaway Junior World Championship in Palm Springs, where rounds of 70, 72 and 75 saw him finish an impressive T21st at just 1-over-par against a field of around 160 elite players.
An achievement made even more special by the fact that Alfie was the only golfer from Wales to qualify for all three major international championships this summer: the USwing Junior World Championship, FCG Callaway Junior World Championship and the USKids Golf World Championship.
Between tournaments, Alfie enjoyed the experience of a lifetime, playing two of the world's most iconic courses, Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill, where he impressed his professional caddie with both his golfing ability and maturity.
The trip concluded at the world-renowned USKids Golf World Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina, an event featuring around 1,600 players from more than 50 countries. Competing against the very best young golfers in the world, Alfie recorded his lowest-ever score in the championship, highlighting the significant progress he continues to make.
Beyond the results, Alfie's dedication, resilience and willingness to learn have been just as impressive. With his confidence growing and his game continuing to develop, the future looks incredibly bright.
Next stop: Venice, Italy, for the USKids Golf Venice Open as this remarkable international season continues. β³οΈπ
