Well done to everyone who completed this morning’s Town Moor parkrun and thanks as ever to our wonderful volunteers for making the event possible.

There was an issue with the first results upload which omitted a few people from the results but this has been resolved and everyone’s times should be online now. If you have any results queries please email [email protected]

A small but appreciative band of parkrunners attended our Annual Celebration Event on Saturday.

A lot of cake and cheese scones were consumed whilst giving out our annual awards. These were given to:-

Female Participant of the Year - Margaret Thompson
Male Participant of the Year - Charles Hierons
Volunteer of the Year - Julie Forster

We also recognised the most loyal supporters who volunteered with us over 20 times last year. Each of these fantastic folk were awarded a Certificate and a free coffee voucher, courtesy of Wylam Brewery. These people were:-

Kate Black, Andy Brown, Michael Browne, Dai Davies, Julie Forster, Scott Fraser, Joseph Goin, Stevie Hall, Judith Hodges, Paul Hughes, Dave Kear, Grahame King, Andy Lie, Ian Mason, John Marshall, Wasif Mohammed, David Pearson, Andrew Slattery Craig Smith, Larry Taylor, Penny Wilmott.

Some facts about our parkrun in the last year (July 25 to June 26)

- We had 41 parkruns
- There were 23,937 participants with an average of 584 per event.
- On the 6th Sept 25 we had our biggest attendance ever of 891 participants.
- Our lowest attendance of the year was 442.
- Our parkrun community donated £5,029 to Newcastle Foodbank.
- We had 480 different volunteers who undertook 1,930 volunteer roles.
- 24 people volunteered over 20 times and 275 volunteered once.

Last but not least, thanks should go to Wylam Brewery for hosting our event, for stepping in to support us when the Council closed the Cafe in Exhibition Park and for providing us with free coffee vouchers to help recognise the people who received recognition.

Thanks,
Peter
