💚 Notice of 2026 Annual General Meeting 🤍

We are delighted to invite all members to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026, an important opportunity to come together as a club, reflect on another successful year, and look ahead to an exciting future.

AGM Details:
📅 Wednesday 14 October 2026
⏱️ 7:30pm
📍 Great Park Community Centre

The AGM is your chance to hear about the club’s achievements over the past 12 months, celebrate the incredible contribution made by our members, volunteers and committee, and learn more about our ambitions for the year ahead.

Committee Nominations:
In the coming weeks, we will circulate information regarding nominations for the 2026/27 committee.

In line with our current constitution, all committee members will stand down at the AGM. Some existing committee members intend to seek re-election, while others will be stepping aside. This means that every committee position will be open for nomination, and we warmly encourage any member who may be interested to consider putting themselves forward.

Being part of the committee is a fantastic way to help shape the future of the club, support fellow members and contribute to the continued success of our running community. We will share more details about the various committee roles ahead of the AGM, and any member interested in finding out more is encouraged to get in touch. We’d be delighted to have an informal conversation about what’s involved.

After all, many hands make light work! 💚

Looking Ahead to a Landmark Year:
We would love to see a strong turnout for this year’s AGM. It is an opportunity not only to conduct the formal business of the club but also to celebrate everything we have achieved together over the past year.

The coming year is especially significant as we continue planning for our centenary year, a milestone that represents 100 years of running, friendship, community and achievement. The AGM will provide an opportunity to share our vision and ambitions for this landmark chapter in the club’s history.

We Look Forward to Seeing You There:
Whether you’re a long-standing member, a newer recruit, a regular racer or someone who simply enjoys being part of the club, we would love you to join us on 14 October.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you to the AGM.

Great Park once again hosted the UK Athletics‑licensed Gosforth Summer Relays & Junior Races on Sunday 2nd August 2026. Under bright sunshine and perfect racing conditions, the venue looked fantastic and provided an excellent backdrop for a full morning of competitive running.

A week on from the Gosforth Summer Relays 2026 and we’re still buzzing. 🟢⚪️

What a day it was — runners from clubs across the North East filling Great Park with energy, teamwork and proper summer‑race atmosphere. From the juniors to the seniors, the support, the smiles and the performances made it one of our strongest events yet.

We’ve now published our full 2026 Race Report, capturing the highlights, results, and everything that made the day special.

We’re down to just 6 entries for the 2026 Gosforth Summer Relays on Sunday 2nd August.

If your team hasn’t claimed a place yet, now’s the time. Even Oliver Twist asking Steve “The Chief” Boddy for more won’t help — once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Can’t wait to see the Newcastle Frontrunners creative team names this year 😁.

Here’s hoping everyone else joins in the fun. Get imaginative, get silly, or even get AI involved…..just keep things clean 😉.

With race day on Sunday 2nd August 2026 getting closer, clubs can now fully manage their entries — because Team Manager is officially LIVE.
